When does Mason Jr. return?

When does Mason Jr. return?

I heard he will be back for the Holiday Festival.  Can anyone confirm this?  Is he practicing yet?

He was injured 10/20 and they said he'd miss four to six weeks.  It's already been seven weeks.

I dont know when he s coming back, but i think his return will make or break the season. If he comes with the attiude that he s is gonna be the man and go to guy, this season will crash and burn. If he comes back and decides to be one of the guys we could really take off. DJ is our big play guy and should continue to be. I m a bit worried about Mase's return...it could be really good, or things could go very very wrong.

I'm really anxious to see where mase fits it in our offense and what norm does with him..having him back will deff spread out the opposing d though..
   We will have so many options to run with..if we need points I would throw hardy horne dj brownlee and mase

We could go big and throw dj brownlee mase jb1 and evans/coker
  There's unlimited amounts of rotations we cn throw at any opponent..there are 13 players that can compete..I feel that this team NEEDS to run..we look a lot smoother running and it would also help out our pg play seeing how are biggest problem imo is our half court sets
   It seems like our offense is too predictable..ball screens or drive n dish..that could hurt us when in conf. Play

I agree..I pray that mase doesn't come back with the gunner mentality he had b4..if he works and produces next to dj we could have a very explosive offense..if he comes back and puts up nba threes and just about every look he gets we struggle

thats true...our offense needs to diversify. all we do is ball screen. We need mix it up so the ball screen can be there in crunch time

I always thought he got a bad rap as a "gunner".  He was the only one who could get his shot off in the past.  Now is different...I think he will fit in nicely.

True..last time he played for the most part was when our jrs were fresh..or before dj and horne emerged as scorers..does anybody lno how he jelled with the team in the preseason games??

What was Mason supposed to do?

It's not like he had another option. The guy who was most ready was Burrell, and he really wasn't ready for the BE.

Losing Calhoun really killed our chances of the NIT that year.

In my version of revisionist history, it was also the other losses that hurt the team - even Ricky Torres and Patterson.  Not that they were good, but they could have given the team good minutes, and the lack of continuity and the inexperience showed.  Then again, those schollies became far superior players - DJ Kennedy and Sean Evans - so what do I know.

I think Mase is a better player than people think, but he also has the problem of being able to get his shot off well enough that he may not be sure when not to take the green light.  But last year, I thought he showed me something - playing more position defense against Boston College, blocking some shots.

Wow. I had been debating hanging around NYC for the Festival (I haven't been home much this semester at all) but I definitely will now.

My excitement level for this team is steadily increasing.

Even if Mason does not make it back for the game this weekend I hope he plays against Bryant. It would be good to get at least one game before the Big East Games start.
