Justin Brownlee's teammates call him, 'Old Man Speed,' because the Georgia native embodies the slower tempo and persona of a Southerner.

"The thing with him is, it's always, 'Yes sir. No sir,' and he doesn't give you much more comment after that,'' St. John's coach Norm Roberts said. “That's pretty refreshing.''

Refreshing is having a 6-7, 232-pound power forward off the bench who walks softly but carries a big kick off the bench. In a typical St. John's-Fordham rock fight at Carnesecca Arena, Brownlee set career-highs with 14 points and 14 rebounds as the Red Storm led wire to wire in a 73-56 win D.J. Kennedy added 13 points and 13 boards.
