We win this game with Mason.

If there is ever a question of if we need that kid, the Cornell game provided the answer.  Both teams return nearly identical rosters and we go from a 10 point relatively easy win with Mase and a group of soph's to a five point loss with juniors, more scoring/depth, and no Mase.

The fact still remains that they should be beating Cornell with or without Mason Jr and Burrell.  I understand that they are missed but St. John's is deep enough to defeat an Ivy League opponent without two players, including one that has not played a game all season on a team that has beaten Temple and Siena, who are pretty good teams.

I mean, you're high on St. John's this season, right?  Seton Hall beat Cornell at Cornell.  Don't you think that St. John's is better than Seton Hall?

I'm high on St. John's this year, yes.  Seton Hall also lost to Temple at home, so it's not fair to leave that out.  SH and STJ are both solid and they both need every win they can get to sneak into the tournament this year.  They are both in a small group of Big East teams along with G'town, ND, and Pitt fighting for the last two spots from the conference.

We probably shot ourselves in the foot by losing to Cornell.  I'm incredibly disappointed.  We absolutely have to beat Georgetown now IMO.

Cornell is a legit 9/10 seed this year.  They are probably as good or better than almost half of the Big East this year.  They shot an absurd % from three-largely due to horrible defense--and that is hard to beat.
