DePaul Pregame + Predictions
« on: January 16, 2010, 01:48:23 PM »
St. John's returns to Carnesecca Arena to earn their second win in the Big East conference against the turmoil-laden DePaul Blue Demons.  The Blue Demons have been disappointing, losing 23 straight Big East regular season games (with a win on the conference tournament in between) and fired their coach.  Will St. John's prove that they're a cut above the conference doormat?  Or will they play uninspired basketball and give DePaul their first conference win?

Now that Depaul has had a few practices with their coach,
they'll come out inspired, and play relatively well early on.

We'll help them by not recognizing back door cuts, picks, and wide open three point shots.

I'm the end, they'll be tired since they only have 2 or 3 BE players. We'll pull away with Kennedy making a couple of nice drives in crunch time.

Norm will applaud Depaul's great effort, and remind everyone that despite their record, they're a good team, who cannot be overlooked.

The Ucan't game will be an opportunity to make it a season once again.

"This is a tough, tough league and it's hard to win against any team in this league.  It's a battle every game night in and night out and I'm happy for our players who gutted it out against a very good Depaul team."

I'm kinda surprised at how many people are predicting double digit wins.  Hope it happens, though.
