Unfortunately newsman is right.  We are so f'ing apathetic.  Don't tell me the kids don't deserve chants for norm to be fired.  The kids don't deserve to be coached by a loser (on the bball court) who has proven he is incapable of coaching even a mediocre big east team.  The kids deserve a new coach so these 9 juniors get ONE shot as seniors under someone who knows a thing or two about winning as a head coach in D1.  I'll donate money to students just so they go and chant for norm to be fired.  Our student section is the saddest thing in college sports, possibly.  It was pathetic how many people got out there.  MSG should start giving money to our opponents who fill the gym bc its not st johns fans that get the big crowds.  Norm doesn't start the right guys, he doesnt know how to make adjustments, he cant close top recruits, and he cant teach the diamonds in the rough he does get to realize their potential.  im sick of this.  This is year SIX!  YEAR Fing SIX!  HE HAS TO GO!

Another year with no NCAA tourney.

Norm might be a nice guy, but the longer he stays the more I'm going to hate him.

For the record,  you guys were delusional if you thought that this was going to get better before it got worse.  Your either a good coach , or your not.   the Big East is not a place for on the job training.
I find it funny everyone is LIVID all of a sudden.  You mean to tell me, you didn't see this debacle coming?  You thought norm would become a good coach after a few years of "practice".  Please!

Hope springs eternal.  We (or at least I was) just as mad last year and the year before, but with each year of futility, the anger grows deeper.  Maybe a little bit of me wanted to believe the execuses, oh we had a young team, we couldnt run norms offense, he struggled recruiting the first few years....the excuses have run dry and the result is the same.  its not even the losses, but the WAY we lose.  same old horrible substitution patterns, horrible or no half time adjustments, sloppy play....it all comes down to the coach.  there's no cards left for norm to play, which means fr. harrington needs to play the one card he has, and give us a new coach. asap.

It's not that we lost but how and why we lost. A good coach adjusts and rotates guys accordingly and we fail to do so repeatedly. It's frustrating to watch.

It's the way we lost.  Collapse right before the half, adjustments made by nova at halftime and then not by norm, playing boothe too much in the second half, hardy getting benched too much....its all typical norm.  i would have been happier with a 10 point deficit early and maintained it for the game.

Usually, but not in this case.

You mean to tell me you all of a sudden expected great things(substituition patterns, adjustements) from Norm against Villanova?

no. everyone is pissed because watching st johns play is the eqivilliant to blueballs. we have gotten as far as we can on talent alone, and the coaching decisions made in games this past year (or during norm's tenure), and in the 'nova game specifically have made peoples blood boil. playing a "final 4" team really shows how pathetic our offense really is. if we actually had set plays and ran a decent offense, we could of won that game and other ones too.

for example: coming out of one of our timeouts, we turn the ball over.

and its thing like this that happen all the time. our "offense" of running around the perimeter 20 seconds and wait until there's 10 seconds left on the shot clock before anyone does anything, only to chuck up a prayer at the buzzer.  its not good defense thats the reason, its terrible offense.

another example: deciding to run full court press with 30 seconds left, as opposed to throughout the game.
then we went on a 7-0 run to end the game, and make it look respectable in the stat sheets.

for me, the last few games have been the straw that broke the camel's back.
