I went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks 2  The Squeakuel today.  It was more enjoyable i'm sure. At this point i'm rooting for an implosion. Lets get this over with.

Lucky enough not to see the game as I'm stuck in a conference room, but based on the recap on espn.com it seems that it was the same ole, same ole. Johnnies fall apart at the end of the first half and continue to do so during the second half. Happens just about every game.

I've missed a lot of the games this season, but I caught this one. Hardy got hot early and Nova initially went through the motions against us for the noon game, but St. John's failed to step on their necks and missed too many chippies to beat a legitimate top ten talent team, even one giving a B- effort. By our pathetic standards, the crowd was into it.  In the end, it's just another loss in the coaching career of Norm Roberts [100-176, 36.2%] .

I hope for your sake that you have kids. I would gladly take a swift kick to the nuts than see that movie.

LOL.  yes i do have children. I've seen worse movies as well. I'm sure it was better than what was playing at the Garden today.

 See this stat line:
Malik Boothe-   0 points....0 assists....5   turnovers.

The fact that Norm has been unable to land a decent PG is the biggest reason this years team is a complete flop.  Yes, he can't coach, but there is enough talent on this team that a good point guard would have been the difference.
Corey Fisher should have been our PG.

Norm will eventually be fired.

The key play was when refs called the bogus charge on Kennedy when we were up 30-20 and possibly could've been 33-20.  Then they come down and convery a 3 point play making it a 7 pt game instead of 13... all down hill from there.

Agree on that point of the game, but how does a division 1 program consistently implode in the second half of games. My guess is Norm and staff just do the lazy thing and take a "continue what your are doing"approach. Wright and other solid leaders adjust to what worked for the other team in the 1st half. How sad.

Spoke with a local SJU guru recently who said if the nose dive continues a change will be made for certain. Too many Wall Street folks associated with the program expressing dismay by cuttting back on donations.

We all hope, and pray that he does, but what is going to happen this year to inspire the administration to make a move?

Hasn't Roberts been just as good this year as he was when he arrived? It really seems that the University has decided to intentionally sabotag the program.

Last game, the fans, students, everyone should be all over Roberts. The University deserves to be embarrassed.

Key word being eventually ;)

Six years of our lives have already been wasted on the Norm Roberts experiment by Jersey Shore Tanning specialist Chris Monasch with little meaningful growth.

Just got home. Just as many said same old same old. Boothe can't hit a 15/18 wide open jump shot. Not an original idea but he can't play. He does offer some positives (handles the ball well against pressure) but he offers nothing offensively. Stith played well in 1st half. Hardy played great 1st half. He still sat way to long. 2nd half Nova took him away. We did nothing to get him open. Fans were chanting for him to play.
Mason played smart  but can't move laterally and can't guard anyone. Not one ball was thrown into the post. Evans made some hustle plays. Burell again didn't get many chances.
Not happy we lost but can accept it. we lost to a very good team. I am not quite as angry as I was after we beat Cincinnati. Hope I made a little sense, I had to many 9.00 beers.

I got to watch most of the game. Here is what I will say:

If Malik Boothe is the starting PG vs. Pitt, I'm gonna flip out.  He has not earned it and has played his way to the BENCH.  BENCH HIM!!!

blah..blah....blah.....the only ones to blame for this mess of a program are the fans....simple...you keep buying it...they will keep giving it to you..when you tell the school you dont want the product...they will stop giving you it...if you are vocal enough...they will give you a better product...if you are passive and weak...they will convince you this is the best they could do...UNC is 12-6 and fans, and students are giving Roy who won 2 national championships a very hard time...they are chanting him down before games..they are screaming on campus...Duke had an article in the paper to bench Singler after a bad game..really got under coach k skin..what do stj fans do??? they come here and cry...YOU WANT CHANGE MAKE IT HAPPEN

The fans have been so quiet in voicing their displeasure.  I suppose this year's games at the Garden haven't devolved into boos, unlike the games last year and the year before.
