I say we go 2-9. We beat Depaul and Rutgers. 2-9 BTW would put us at 14 wins which yours truly predicted before the season.

I say we go 4-7 or 3-8.  We beat DePaul, Rutgers, and 1-2 of South Florida, Marquette, Seton Hall, and Louisville.

At best that gets us to 16-15 pre-BE tourney.  Unlikely to make the NIT in any case whether we go 4-14 or 6-12 in conference.  It would take a miracle to make the NIT at this point.

That would be amazing if your prediction of 14 came true.  You were, more or less, laughed at when you made it.  Even a Norm detractor like myself thought that 14 was a bit low. But, lo and behold, Stormin' normin is right on pace .  He is certainly consistent, if nothing else.

I do think that he will end up doing just enough to stay on board.  that seems to be the pattern. Hopefully we only have to endure 2 more months of this crap.

I will be an optimist and say we finish at 7-11 and sneak into the NIT.

4 - 7 is the best I think we do down the stretch..

Where are the other 3 wins coming from? Marquette & Louisville at home? Possible? AT S Florida? Norm doesn't do BE road games. Seton Hall? They can score, we can't.
I think 4 more wins would be the absolute most Norm will get. BTW I think the Rutgers game will be very close.

So far I'm more impressed with your prediction that we would be improved enough to be competitive and get blown out less,  but not good enough to actually win BE games.  To date that's been this season to the tee.

@ Pitt--L
@ Rutgers--W
WVU--L
Louisville---Toss-up
@ Notre Dame--L
Seton Hall--Toss-up
@ South Florida--Toss-up
Marquette--W
Pitt--L
@ Syracuse--L
@ DePaul--W

I see this team finishing up at 6-12.  I said, if Norm finished anywhere below 9-9 then he needs to be fired.

He'll probably finish up at 6-12 and lose the first round game in the Big East Tournament and head to the CBI Invitational and win one game and lose the next.  Or, flat out lose the first round game.

I see this being the case with Norm.  Bring him back after such a debacle....  I'm giving up my St. John's pass.

That was the thing people were forgetting. Not only did we lose a lot of games we lost BIG. Not getting blown out is an improvement, but after 6 years not the improvement most were expecting.
BTW if we manage to lose the Rutgers game, coupled with Norm's baffling rotations and minute distributions, there is a chance Norm could lose the team. If players start getting frustrated with the losses and their minutes, I can see the blowouts returning towards the end.

Something to think about: Felipe Lopez and Zendon Hamilton struggled along playing for a clueless coach. Clueless gets fired after their soph years and two years later they are playing in an NCAA tourney. HINT HINT

I agree.  I don't think 5 more wins is possible.  I do think 3-8 is most likely.  I think 2-9 and 4-7 are equally likely.

I could never bring myself to root against us, but losing 9 of the last 11 might be just what the doctor ordered, and in addition, very likely.

We seem to match up very well with USF, so even though it's a road game, I think we'll take it. Marquette has a lot of hitting free throws, and we can't play defense without fouling, so I think we could take that one, too.

So I'd guess 4-7. That puts us at 16-14, before the BE tourney with a chance to make the NIT, but in all seriousness an outside chance.
