In two years SJ has Stith, Q Roberts, O Lawrence, Ron Roberts, and Devontay Grace, plus a couple of Jucos and some freshman. It's not great but it doesn't suck completely. If Norm is as awful a coach as alleged, it doesn't matter who the players are anyway.

We lose DJ Kennedy, who has been the best player has brougt in.
We lose Dwight Hardy, who's the 2nd best player.

Boothe hasn't been guy we expected.
Evans scores well occasionally, but he has a very low BBall iq.
Brownlee is okay.
Horne can't score, but he defends well some of the time.
Burrell is clearly a huge disappointment.
Coker has improved to point of Keita/Diakite production.

What we are losing is a decent mid major squad. Big deal.

If we're losing a "decent mid major squad", then we turn into a mediocre NEC team.

we could probably compete with CW Post at that point....until Tim Cluess out-coaches Norm in the 2nd half.

I'm not sure I follow you. My point is that we're bad now. We're losing with juniors, and if we're not getting a new coach, what does it matter if players leave?

Every year, it's the same story with this program.

As with other programs that Harrington has looked after, I expect a plummet.

It's a matter of levels of futility.

Horne can't score

Last season he led the team in scoring.  He scores big every other year.  Next year is his year.

this is only my second year really following the program, so i remain hopeful.

after the team this year didnt reach its potential ncaa bid norm leaves and the admin buys a real d1 bigeast caliber coach. next year dj shows scouts he is nba talent and our recruiting becomes an easier sell.

in two years quincy will lead this team to a second straight ncaa bid. hes got the sweet form on the jumper and the strength to score inside. omari has to hit the gym and get his body right. stith needs to play with confidence and intelligence. most importantly the new coach brings in a deep frontline that can score.

we are a lot closer to the top than it looks. our team plays as less than the sum of its parts. they make bad decisions and have to work way too hard for every basket. the guys we have are capable of winning, but this team is not...and that blame is on the coach.

Paris doesn't make good dribble drive decisions, but I did see him pass better against Nova. So maybe he has to stick with shooting threes and setting picks.

He puts it on the floor, the first half of the move, he's Michael Jordan, and the second half of it, he's Cedric Jackson Soph year.

can you tell me why u picked this team. I wish 1985 never happened. I wish I picked a good team to follow. I wish I went to a more fun college. These are the things I was thinking about when I left the garden Saturday. Why would u sign up for this misery.

Yeah I am sure by then Norm will have figured out how to play Horne and Hardy while sprinkling in Quincy ;D

BTW, as I told you I don't take personal checks! Multiple 20 point games not looking too good ;)

Quincy Roberts? He's the savior? You're crazy. Role player at best. From very reliable sources he was totally outplayed in practices which lead to being out of the rotation to redshirting. Omari Lawrence came in grossly out of shape and Norm and staff has to be held partially accountable. This is a guy that was rated the #2 player in the state behind Lance at one point. He is the key. he can't get in shape during the season so it is a wash now. But next year if he comes back like he should, he should be a beast. They need that recruit from Seattle too, Wroten Jr. and they will be straight in 2011.

He can't get into shape during the season? Why?

I think that would be a great time for him to get in shape.

This is going to devolve into "no homo" territory, isn't it.

In seriousness, having a cut body doesn't mean a guy's in basketball shape.  The size and strength isn't the issue, the quickness is.  I thought he looked and moved decently against Villanova.
