Since WASJU seems insistent to settle all his bets despite it being a little premature, I will concede a few points:
1) WASJU’s prediction of 14 wins was much closer than mine of 21 regular season wins. In fact, he may have overstated their chances slightly.
2) Carmine was right, Dwight Buckets will not break, or even come close to Avery (3 Pt. Record Holder) Patterson.
Beers will be purchased if you two choose to attend the game on Saturday.
Thanks for the kind offer RSHF but on Saturday I'll be in the suites upstairs where the beer is abundant and free.
I do look forward to having a brew with you, and all my Johnny brethren, at a future event.
I now understand your optimism about D-buckets breaking the unbreakable as he really is a fine downtown shooter and has hit many, and hopefully even more next year, threes. With a coach that had a better feel for the game and substitution patterns, or the ability to write down the proper starting lineup in the book in the first place, he would have come even closer. Let's just hope he never throws his headband.
I never will understand how AP hit all those 3's on a terrible offensive team, with horrendous point guard play, weak inside play, that couldn't set a pick or string three passes together in a row at all yet was absolutely slammed on these boards in his first and only season of BE play.
It feels like Dwight has hit a ton of 3's this season yet somehow, AP hit even more.
