Don't forget Lamb could be gone after next year.  Mccombs or whatever his name is just got arrested.  There could be minutes.

I could be wrong, but i think he meant he doesnt see where he gets time HERE at St. Johns not Uconn.

Yes I meant at St Johns, I cant see anyone advising their wing players to come to SJU

I disagree. I am sure that the best 2012 New York High School player would have minutes with us.

"He's the master of quiet domination," says Tom Konchalski, the publisher of High School Basketball Illustrated, who is considered one of the premier talent evaluators in the country.

"He fills the stat sheet very quietly. He's a guy who has a mature understanding of the game."

In February, Calhoun received an offer from Connecticut---where he recently took an unofficial visit---in addition to ones he has from Florida, St. John's, Pittsburgh, Villanova, Maryland and Miami, among countless others.

Yes, he does a bit.  He's a good player.  Not sure he fits our system.  Seems more like a half-court style of player which I think is why we didn't target him heavily.

Two days after landing a verbal commitment from 2011 small forward DeAndre Daniels, UConn is in very strong position with 2012 shooting guard Omar Calhoun.

Do they have a schollie to give? I guess someone can always go early or get arrested.  This doesn't have me shaking in my boots. Calhoun will recruit over him.

Lamb almost left early this year.  I don't see him staying more than 1.  And Deandre is a pretty safe bet to leave after 1.  That's if he ever makes it to campus.  He is the 2011 version of Momo Jones.

What do you mean?   I believe the 2 scholarship academic penalty is only for 1 year and I am not sure if the 1 schollie they were docked by the NCAA goes beyond this year anyway.  So they have 10 this season but should be back to 12 next and perhaps even 13 next season.

I mean they are still recruiting Drummond as well.

BTW-UCONN will be short the 1 through the 12-13 season.  But still assuming their APR progress gets better they should get the other 2 back in addition to the natural roster moves.
