Great message to send to the kids, you $#@^ loser.

Want Norm gone? Write a letter, start a website, walk a picket line.

Get off your fat ass and do something, but don't EVER wish a loss on our team. You're no fan, you're just a loser!

wow. with such a swift and vulgar response, i would think you would be leading the fire norm revolution

too bad not everyone is as firey as yourself. but then again i bet everyone is when they're hiding behind their computer screens.

i dont want to wish losses on st johns, however, with the way things are right now, the only way (as i see it) that norm will be fired is if father harrington come up with the idea himself. and the only way for that to happen is for a terrible record.

and as for starting a website, i dont see the point. theres the fire norm one already and it doesnt mean anything.
writing letters: i havent written any letters to administration yet, but a letter will be going to editor @ the torch this week.

walking a picket line, are you kidding me, everyone talks a big game, but is no where to be found when it comes to things like this. not to mention the student support sucks anyway. but it seems to be most obvious with basketball. soccer games draw at least 3 to 5 times as many students as bb games.

i'll be surprised if more that 20 people show up for the tierney thing tomorrow.

oh, and as for the "kids" im sure they're real happy with the way things are. that is, with them being an underachieving/out-coached basement dwelling big east team.

my prediction for # of wins the rest of the way. id say 2, maybe 3.

2-4 with wins against DePaul and either Seton Hall or USF.  I don't believe for one second that they will take a game from Marquette, Pittsburgh, or Syracuse.

I don't take from that offspring is actively rooting against the team.  I just think at this point everyone is SICK AND TIRED of Norm and are rightfully afraid the admin will look for any excuse to keep him.  The best result would be for the kids to win as many games as possible AND have Norm get fired.  But that's unlikely.

We go 1-5 the rest of the way, I think.  We beat DePaul and that's it.  2 wins is our max.

These "kids" are in their twenties.  Rob Thomas is almost as old as me.  They all screw like ten girls a week too. They aren't exactly CYO players.

Sorry JJ, I lost my temper.

I understand the frustration, but the poster specifically said he hopes they win zero games going forward.

That’s just plain wrong.

Fair enough --- I agree with you.  If you're tempted to root against your team, it's best to just not watch the games.

If there was a magic number that we know if Norm reached he'd be retained or didn't reach he'd be fired, I'd be able to understand it, because then the losing would have a tangible affect on the team.  However, just hoping to lose with no information is wrong, IMO.  We'll never know.  Norm may be gone no matter what, he may be back no matter what, and because of that I guess you have to root for the kids and hope for the best.

i have said it so many times...if the team wins 0 games and it results in norm being fired and a good coach being brought in, great, im happy...but i cant root against my team, even if it means norm stays...that being said, we probably only win the last game against depaul...we might upset one other team and finish with 6 wins but depaul is probably the only lock right now

No one has to bother to root against them.
They'll lose by quite a bit without our support.
