Where did I say I was rooting for that? Im rooting for this team to win every game and I hope it happens. As for Norm returning, I figured out a long time ago that it doesnt matter what the fans think of that situation. Life is too short for me to be rooting for someone else to lose and to lose his job.

If Norm keeps his job by winning then I have no problem with it.  If he is kept in spite of losing, then it is a problem.  If, by some miracle, we win out, have a run in the BE tournament and get an NCAA bid, then he should be kept on for at least another year.  I know that it won't happen but there is nothing wrong with praying for it. 

If rooting for losses is followed by another bad hire and more years of futility, then what good would have done.  That, too, is a possibility.

I just can't bring myself to root for losses.  I don't criticize those who do---but I just can't.

There may be 1-2 others, but you are correct that it's a very exclusive club.
The day I root for any team that I follow to lose, that's the day I stop following that team.

Contrary to many poster's misguided reasoning, you can't be a fan of a team and wish they lose. It's simply not logical.

While I'm not sold on Wade Phillips, I had to root for my Boys to win.  Their playoff victory saved his job for now.  I can't look past the game we are playing in order to see the "bigger picture."  Maybe I'm just not that smart.

 I see both sides of the argument. Personally, right now, i'm indifferent. Which is probably even worse.  I haven't watched a minute of the last 2 games. There was a time when i wouldn't miss a minute of any game.  I looked forward for days for upcoming games.
  Of course its not all Norm's fault.  But if he pulls a miracle this year ( he won't though), good for him, good for the team.  But i'll still be indifferent as long as he's here.
 Hypothetically speaking,  If your a fan of an NBA team that needs to lose the last game of the reg. season to get the number 1 pick. Are you not a fan if you root against them?
