SJ, shouldn't you be more concerned with getting roy fired with unc's pathetic season...or at least getting him a box of tissues?

St johns is pathetic. If norm is not fired we are screwed.  This year where a new coach would get a senior-laden team and then give the coach the chance to build his own team would attract many more candidates than usual, IMO. We need norm fired in 2 weeks.

There is no excuse for losing games like they have this year. Last year it was a top heavy Big East that beat up on everyone, there is no excuse to have the same season as last year. So for the guy who said he thinks they are getting better, I think your on crack

I just watched the game. What an awful game. Team didnt show up. Paris and DJ played ok. Evans was awful!! This should be the nail in the coffin.

Evans was terrible. He's never in position on defense to defend anyone, or anything. They must have had 10 offensive rebounds.

Doesn't matter now. Even the NIT is a pipe dream.

I watched about 90% of the game.

A PATHETIC offensive showing.  We scored almost all of our points off of broken plays.  We got several calls from the officials when we were about to be blown out.  We barely ever got the lead inside of 7 points, and even though this technically wasn't a "blowout", at no point was this game in doubt.

We are so predictable offensively. We never run Dwight Hardy through multiple screens.  The play calling is one dimensional.  On top of that, we didn't execute and we looked like we were "going through the motions" on offense.  I thought we were lucky to score 64.  Just an atrocious performance in terms of offense and execution.

I don't hate Evans. I think he could be a very useful player in the right role. What I dont understand is why he plays so much. The more I think of it the less I blame on Norm. Clearly he deserves some blame but not all. Burell, Brownlee, Coker, and even Rob Thomas are more skilled. They all play better defense. They should kick evans ass every day in practice every day. Evans plays more then all those guys. I can only conclude he practices better then these guys.

I swear I couldn't tell if MSG was an arena or library today. Painfully low attendence for the student section. The whole game, it just felt like we were going through the motions. If these kids liked Norm so much they would have played harder so he can keep his job. Anyone else feel that there was a lack of effort?

Thank god this was the last home game...the students and players don't care anymore

The one question I have is why was Mase not playing in the 2nd half. Its his last home game and you could see him getting upset not being in. It's not like we were gonna win. I was yelling at the bench to put him in basically for the last 10 mins of the game...Is this how wew treat a 5th year senior?

5 total team assists..........horrendous shooting........Burrell plays half a game and they lose by 7 points.....he  out scores and matches their big despite playing only 21 minutes to 33 for PITT big. (what would have if he played a full game?) A couple of layoffs, a couple of FT's and a post feed or two .. its a "W". it doesn't take a  genius....
Burrell killed them today, how many times did he get the ball in the post and either turn it over or miss a layup. he may of only had 3 fouls but the fouls he did commit killed them. Coker should of played more minutes he was actually effective on the defensive side of the ball in the first half

I don't think Burrell played bad but I don't think he played his best either. He looked out of rhythm offensively is the best way I could put it. He still hit the boards really well and defensively he needs to work on his positioning. He is disciplined enough not to leave his feet yet he gets himself trapped too deep where he is left to do nothing but foul or give up a bucket.

A good read from a fellow who went to the Garden with his son... who is now turned off of basketball!

And Lenn Robbins calls out the effort and mentions Jim Pellow was at the game: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/college/basketball/storm_fizzles_dyuEER86w2eyuNLw4vftlM

im saying cut it out. u are coming on this board to start trouble go back to redmen. u saying he had a bad game well back it up. this is a real basketball site when u post something about a player back it up with numbers. men lie numbers dont. he had one turnover this game. he was 2 for 7 now he has to be perfect on the court. let me explain something to u cause im pretty sure u dont have aathletic bone in ur body. this is college basketball at the highest level. its easy to say he should have gotten this rebound or made that dunk or shot. but im a firm beliver that if u cangt touch the net. which in ur case im sure u cant. u shoulldnt judge a athlete at all. be a fan watch the game. he finished with 9 and 8 i belive wasnt his best game but he wasnt the reason he lost. its because the fake ass fan base wasnt in attendence because they wont show up unless the team wins.  You are 100% right till your last sentence.  this team didn't lose because the lack of fans. thats just ridiculous. This team loses because the coach is a dope and the players don't improve.
Enough with the Burrell this, Burrell that. It gets a little much after a while. he's the most talented player on a below average team. He's not going to win games by himself or lose them by himself.
This is new york man.  Damn, during the 80's the yanks could fill up the stadium for nothing.  No one is going to spend their good money on shit basketball. If you don't like it, don't come here.  Go play in Indiana or something.
That being said, if you win here, you are the king of the city.  Big "if " though with this program.

i was at the game yesterday and i've gone to almost every game this year. im not coming on here to start trouble, he struggled in the first half that all im saying, relax. its not like i'm ripping on everyone, i said coker should of played a lot more minutes then he did cause was effective defensively the few minutes he did play

this is ur second post in 5 stating that he was the reason we lost. it had nothing to do with the fact that 6 people had more minutes than him and they brought nothing to the table? yet him in only 21 minutes had 9 and 8 and took 7 shots had 3 fouls and 1 turnover. but dj couldnt guard his man got in foul trouble shot 4 for 11 in only 19 minutes. ya missed that huh? or on 1 of justins fouls dj didnt switch because he was complaing to the ref that he got hit in his face. wow u missed that also?!?!
