N.I.T?

I think St Johns is in, would love a matchup with IONA  but the Gaels might be in the CBI. If not, SJU/Fairfield?

Would love to see Fairfield/SJU at their place, a better atmosphere. AH would be dead.

Last year, in the year of the dominant BE 10 teams went to the dance and NIT combined.  This year STJ would be the 13th team maybe 12th over UConn after yesterday.  They probably won't get in unless a bunch of teams turn down the invitation.

Last year the Big East had a ton of Elite teams, the bottom of the conference was nowhere near the level it is this year. It is an overall down year in College Basketball and I can see 5 teams getting in from the Big East over some crappy mid major teams.

I hope so, but last year:
Seton Hall  17-15, 7-11 RPI=73 and
Cincinatti  18-14, 8-10 RPI= 85 did not go to NIT,
although both prob right on NIT bubble

we ended up 17-15, 6-13 & (before Marq loss)
RPI of 56 to 64 (depending on site)- right on NIT bubble.

I think the NYC connection & fact that we havent been there recently gets us in

I honestly am not sure whether we will make it or not. I voted no but its just a gut feeling. We have some quality wins, a very strong schedule and a good rpi to make it but its going to be tough a 17-15 with only 6 BE reuglar season wins.

We ll get there. NYC, coming off a little buzz from the Uconn win and giving marq all they can handle. I think we are solidly in the field

I think the NIT is for the mediocre.
We are bad.

6-12 teams go to the cbi, or if they have any pride, they go home.

A 4 seed vs VCU. Fairfield and Iona out, no MAAC teams in the NIT?

I give Freddy Q the reigns.  I don't think we're makign the NIT though.  This isn't Joe Lunardi's NIT-ology if you know what I'm sayin.

I say let Norm have his swan song if they make it. Maybe the kids will win as their way of saying goodbye.

idk about that, if we win then it will be harder to justify letting him go and the media would be all over him at every game as would the fans if it were a home game.  It's just not right for anyone involved.  We should just get it over with now and stop all this madness.

I would expect Norm to be coaching the team if we make it.  I actually want us to make it now that Norm will be out.  If we could some how win a game or two it makes us more attractive to coaches out there and it give the players more experience and confidence for next season.
