John Saunders Pro-Norm Broadcast?

Was it me or did he sound a little over the top when talking about St. John's? Is it just for the fact he's done a couple of our games or does he got a little Johnny love in him? Thoughts?

He was very pro-Tyrone Willingham too at ND and expressed his displeasure at their firing of him, but never later commented on Willingham's subsequent destruction of the Washington program.

He was all over Norm's d*ck. Making excuses for him, saying how hard the team plays,how everyone who knows him loves him, basically talking like he is best friends with Norm.

It was sickening.  For a guy that I think maybe MAYBE called 1 game of ours all year.

Objectivity of most sports media guys sorely lacking.

He was very, pro-Norm, Dave.  I already knew he would when he was visibly upset when he heard Norm was fired via the NY Post a week ago.

He should be fired by ESPN for his bush league act on last night.  A friend text me last night saying, "Saunders is politicking for Norm."  So, many of us could sense Saunders' jive on last night.

I thought he called a really nice game besides that with him and Valvano and it wasn't the typical blah blah blah we hear every game. I just got some give Norm another shot undertones with a few things that he mentioned.
