Jeff Capel is a good choice.

IF we are talking about young big 12 coaches with no NY ties being good selections, why not throw in Scott Drew from Baylor.  Turned that program into a powerhouse in 6 years.  May not have NY ties but he knows how to recruit b/c he is consistently recruiting bigtime players (Perry Jones) to Baylor. 

Only 39 and doesnt make much money (right now).

On ESPN.com, the middle right side of the page under the Insider stuff, it says Iowa is talking with UO coach-they must mean Capel, right?

Possible recruiting violations at OU as well...supposedly an agent gave some money to a recruit (supposedly nothing to do with the school).
