Dickie V: St. John's should go after Rick Pitino

On College GameDay Scorecard on ESPN just now, they talked abotu the St. John's vacancy and how the most important thing is to fill MSG.

Dickie V said "if you think mediocre, you'll get mediocre" and suggested st. john's "go for it" by putting together a huge package and bringing Rick Pitino to NYC.

The analysts then discussed which was the most attractive opening, and Digger said DePaul and the rest mentioned Oregon.

Yesterday he didn't let Digger or Hubert get a word in because he went off on a tangent about bringing in Mark Jackson along with assistants who were former head coaches. He's off his rocker.

Yeah....  I saw that, as well, Kid.  I have a feeling that Vitale believed St. John's was the most attractive gig from that particular list of schools.

He (Vitale) sometimes acts, as if he is off his rocker.  LOL  I'm not a fan of his, but if he continues to preach Pitino than I'm all for it.   

I'd love Pitino but don't think it would happen.

I think Pitino will not leave one BE school for another
Father H will not hire him after the problems he's had
I am a huge Pitino fan but this past year he did not look good( very worn out) and did not have the passion as in the past

I also remember on Friday during their show he said the administration should go after Mark Jackson and surround him with previous coaching experience ala Pete Gillen. Dickie is flip flopping to me.
