The NY Media is ridiculous.  THey have to start realizing that there is a difference b/t what they do as reporters and what bloggers do on the internet.

B/t Rubin and Robbins someone isnt getting good info and throwing out rumors.

The twists and turns of this are ridiculous.  I'm nauseated just reading who and who isn't going to be the next coach.  Someone just tell me when we actually hire someone lol

I'm sick of it too.  Everyday these reporters act like people really care who gets the scoop first and there is a race to get it out to the public and when you do that a lot of the time you dont get solid info from sources.  Sometimes they even make it all up and hope.  Just very frustrating.

From the NY Post:

Hewitt reiterated to the Big East school, according to a source, that the decision had nothing to do St. John’s as an institution or a progam. [sic]

This hurts St. John's big time. The fact that we offered and he declined hurts our chances with other big coaches. We don't want to become a laughing stock by offering a bunch of coaches and eventually "Settling" on our 3-4th option.

i dont think it hurts, our 1,2 option was a long shot and honestly feel that hewitt was really the first legit offer turned down. my 2nd option would be 'the general'....we could use him for 3-4 years to set up our next coach.

The NY media is pissing me off beyond belief right now. The "sources" saying coaches are coming, coaches arent coming, deals are imminent, expect announcements in a few hours, the same coach is unlikely to come, this person said this, etc etc. I've never seen such selfish reporting in my life and it's really pissing me off. I've lost so much respect for the NY media, this has become such a joke.

Monasch is not doing a good job of keeping this close to his vest.

Now i have a feeling like i do when we miss out on a big recruit, which I am used to.  I just have a fear now b/c there is a drop off with recruiting now b/c the candidates now aren't supposedly in line with the AAU / HS guys.

I still dont want him but Pecora made a mistake assuming Hewitt was taking the job. 

There is no reason Pecora couldn't immediately leave Fordham. (not that I want Pecora and I don't think he's next in line)

Just when I think it can't get worse to be a STJ fan...another day comes.
