Mike Dunlap has a great rep, great to hear Lavin's reaching out to him.

I'll admit that he's the guy who really intrigues me now.  I've read some glowing reports on Dunlap.

So, I would be on board with Dunlap, Slice (if, not Slice then Book Richardson) and Leitao.  Sounds pretty darn formidable.

Actually, I'd rather have Dunlap, Slice and Richardson.  It seems Dunlap may better fit the bill than Leitao.

Give me those 3 and hopefully, Richardson can lure Selby to Queens.

Dunlap is intriguing.  I'd take him over Leitao.  I think Leitao is dead weight.

Dunlup
Slice
Grasso
Jay Williams

Recruiting and NJ have to be the focus!!  NYC is way down for 2011.  What good would adding Book now for a weak 2011 NYC class with playes already verballed to other schools?

I think we NEED Graso.

There are no uncommitted recruits from NYC in the top 100.  There are five from NJ in the top 60.

Sounding like a man who has still not decided what school he will be at this time next week, Manhattan  head coach Barry Rohrssen spoke with the Daily News exclusively Sunday and said he will have a sit down with his good friend and current St. John's coach Steve Lavin about that long talked about opening on his staff.

I doubt Jay Williams ends up in Queens.  So, I'm not including his name at this point in time.  I could go with Dunlap, Slice and Grasso, as well.  But, you also have to remember we're not going after Book for just the 2011 season.  He's being wooed for the duration.  I think the DOBO will go to Kimani Young.  Just a hunch.

Speaking, of the 2011 NJ class....  I think we can scratch Gilchrist off our list.  I believe he's gonna end up at Kentucky or Villanova.  Do I think we can get in on Gilchrist?  There is always a possibility, but I believe he ends up in the Bluegrass State or the City of Brotherly Love.  Again....  Just a hunch.

As, far as the other 4 top 60 kids who happens to reside in NJ....  They are definitely in play for St. John's, if you ask me.

No idea. I saw that on the hall board and they were being shady about it and not saying. Hopefully its Tiny or Dermon Player and not the ones on Lavins list

Didn't Selby commit to UT first?  If so, that should tell us that playing with Book is not such a priority.

I read somewhere that he originally verballed to Tenn. and then back out.  If that is the case, then he clearly doesn't have playing for Book as his #1 priority.

Selby did originally commit to Tennessee.  I doubt he winds up re-committing to the Vols.

Does Bruce Pearl get back his deposit?

It's probably Tiny Morton, if they were being "shady" about the news.  I don't believe Dermon Player is a player (no pun, intended) for the Hall again.

I also don't believe it's anyone that we're coveting, either.  Just a hunch.
