Why in the world does Achiuwa keep showing up on lists?  He's not that good.

If we don't land 1 and done guys then we're gonna have some JUCO players round out the class. Need to assemble some sort of scholarship balance.

Bingo.

We'll have three commits before the season starts and that will enable us to put the full court press on Pelle if he's still available.  We can sell him on joining top talent and being the sole inside option.  The man.

Two key questions:  Sampson or Garrett?   and   Sledge or Tharpe?

Also, does this injury to Cook put him in our lap?

I've asked around some JUCO coaches in NY that I'm friends with and they all say he's not a high major starter.

Aw, that's unfortunate.

I do think that, given the weakness of the big men in the class, St. John's will have to have some serviceable JUCO forwards.  1, maybe 2?  I know God's Gift is said to like St. John's.  If he can run a little and rebound, he'll have to do.  And that might be preferable to Pelle, who is mentioned as a guy who needs to get his head together and play hard.

Plus, a role player who rebounds might be a great complement to all the wings that may come to Queens.

And the 2012 class has a number of elite bigs - the staff may want to leave obvious available playing time for those guys like Khem Birch.

I still want Garrett. He could still get a ton of minutes, especially since Sampson certainly seems like he could play the 4.

I'd love to add either Garret or the kid from Michigna

Harrison is way better than a sixth man!  Damn, I like that line up, though.

That's a pre season top 25 team.
Bench Garret, Harrison, Pointer, 3 more big men. Maybe God's Gift.

That's the lineup I like.  I also like Dom Pointer's highlights...hopefully we can pull him out of Michigan.
