no matter what happened with norm.... if justin cant make it to the nba or europe with lavin then its not meant to be

I think if you give him 18-20 shots per game, Burrell would shoot 50%. He needs the touches. He needs to get comfortable commanding the ball, and leading this team's attack.
Spot on....... He would be a 20 -10 player playing  a full game with that scenario. He needs to avoid fouling is all.

What about Burrrell?

this would be the best thing for burrell, a chance to learn the system for a year, then shine on a young team while he tries to show he can play pro ball. For the team to be successful next year however, we can not be without him.

Exactly my point. At this point I dont think he has a chance at the next level, maybe with another year to work on his handle, hands and post moves-he'll get a shot in 2 years. He certainly athletic enough

Yeah, and we'd win a few less game and attract less recruits to fill our nine milion spots.

He does have a chance. Norm Roberts was fired.

Lavin can run plays for him, and after that, he can keep running plays for him.

Then later on in the game, when we're winning, and he's on a tear,
Lavin can say to himself, well, he's on fire, I might as well leave him in there.

Look at it from Burrell's point of view

Baldi what the f are you talking about?  Burrell is our MOST talented player.  Burrell's point of view - do I be the star on a senior laden team, or do I redshirt, after already prepping a year after hs, while 8 of my classmates play and graduate, just so I get to play with a bunch of frosh and jucos who I've never played w before.

Stop the shit. Norms gone. Your act is tired.

Exactly.  Be a 12 and 8 guy on a legit NCAA team or be a 15 and 9 guy (maybe) on a .500 squad of freshman and JUCO's that scouts won't even watch.

From a talent perspective JB1 is the only guy that is even worth it to redshirt, but we need him next year as bad as anyone.  I'm really excited about next season.  We need our entire front court to make it to the next level.  I'm really interested to see how Dunlap and Hines work with our bigs and look forward to Lav establishing the post and attacking the baseine with JB2 and Polee.

If JB cant improve his game over the summer and next year with this staff then it's on him and an extra year wouldnt have done any good.

BUT I think he will be our most improved player this year and think he can finally achieve close to what we were all hoping for him.

This year is our chance to make a run and do some damage on teams finally. I want our potentially biggest impact player playing

What does Norm have to do with anything I said? In on board with Lavin

Burrell is going to be a star? Ok, I hope so. I think his success depends on Boothe and how and where Malik gets him the ball.

If his success depends on Boothe then why would you want him to redshirt in Boothe's last year ?

I guess your high on Boothe? I dont disagree, he was our best player the last part of the season. Malik needs to get Burrell the rock in postion to succeed

I'm not that high on Boothe. He did play better the last part of the season.

If he plays like that I think we will be fine.

Yup. I think our season goes as Boothe goes
