If that's the case, I'd want to mend fences with the best program in the county...

Here is an old Redmen.com thread about the subject.  You can see what I was referring to.

Thanks!

LF Ball is a joke.

Ridiculous assertion by LFBall.  HIS boy, Norm Roberts, ran PLENTY of his OWN RECRUITS off the team (most of whom are from the Tri-state area). Where were LFBall's posts when Norm did this?? And he can wax poetic all he wants about the "relationships" that will be affected by pushing away Omari/Grace, but Norm had a great relationship with these folks and never got an elite player from them.

On the IONA blogpost, I think I know where this is coming from.  The hot rumor around NY was that 2 of the top candidates for a "minority" position on Cluess' staff were Fred Quartlebaum and Dermon Player.  Obviously, neither went.  Don't know what was behind that, but will try to find out.  I'm guessing LFBall was trying to defend those 2 guys.

Every post I see from LF seems to have a negative STJ slant.

Also every post is littered with spelling mistakes (ie Devonte, Tony Childs, etc) ::)
I always view him as deranged.

Dave - sure is.  That guy was off the chain that day.

That said, his dad does have some good players, and a good coach can use a spot up shooter who has a knowledge of the game; he'd be a role player, working screens and getting to the corner to nail shots.  A shooter doesn't have to be the best athlete if he knows how to get open.
His dad has zero control over those players. If anyone does, it's Gassanola and even he has no say with Alex Murphy. He was a hired gun. The son should've gone to Harvard.

Really?  Now that's interesting.  What's he doing coaching AAU, then?

I never quite understand why players don't just play for Harvard if they have the grades and have a chance to be coached by a competent Tommy Amaker. A freaking Harvard degree, man!

I still don't understand why people read lfball and continue to post his links like what he says matters. I guess we all need a pinata sometimes.
