baldi did we really steal burrell from those schools? hofstra never even recruited justin

Sorry, I meant Marist.

So if Burrell had offers(not interest, offers) from Marist,Drexel and St Johns. Im betting  he signs at SJU no matter who the video coordinators or administrative assistants are.

Remember that Justin blew up between his senior and post grad year.  And was rated top 100 by Rivals, by Scout, and by others.  And that he committed a year early.  KOB is right, St. John's wouldn't have had him if they didn't get his commit early.

It's damned foolish and irresponsible to disparage him as a recruit; other schools were interested in his game and STILL would love to have him.  I don't know what you're trying to prove.

Ok, I'll ask again. What other offers were on the table when Justin signed at St Johns? Thats all im asking

My other point is that SJU hired local AAU guys to attract thier own AAU talent. And it looks like they came up short. But they get a pass, why

Oz and Kimani get you in the door, but it is still up to the head coach to close the deal. If you are a head coach at SJU, you can't walk into a McD house and tell him (and his family) that you see him back up his freshmen year. It isn't like he is going to backup an all big east player. Our recruiting woes for th past years lie with Norm.

How are you going to try and shit on Oz when he brought Hardy, Burrell and Omari to a team coached by Norm Roberts? So what Omari isn't with us anymore, it's not Oz's fault Lavin didn't want him to stay around. Oh, and by the way, if it wasn't for Norm's inabilities, Oz would have delivered Corey Fisher, Jordan Williams and Sterling Gibbs.

Unlike Kimani, Oz has actually delivered.

Who said Lavin doesn't want Oz around?

Lavin wants Oz around somehow someway. Oz may have better options elsewhere on the table for him though.

I think he's saying, it's not Oz's fault that Lavin didn't want Omari around any longer.  Maybe, Oz sticks around, as the video coordinator.

Im sure a couple of more players would be asked to leave had they not been going into their senior year. Either way, our recruiting gurus are stealing paychecks
