Evan Daniels on KA:

*Kids in the Northeast part of the country tend to wait a little longer than most regions to come up with college decisions, but it is getting to be the time where the class of 2012 has to take a serious look at what they are looking to do.

*A big visit is going to take place this weekend as Kyle Anderson intends to take a trip to UCLA after competing in the Nike EYBL, which takes place in Torrance (CA). It won’t be Anderson’s first trip to Westwood, but at the same time it is very important since he is nearing decision-making mode.

In general the thinking right now with Anderson is that he will stay closer to home, but a good visit to UCLA could change that up in a big way. Some tend to think that Seton Hall or St. John’s could be emerging as the teams to beat, but it is tough to really pin down Anderson on a favorite or teams that could land him. Also definitely do not count out the Georgetown Hoyas. Georgetown employs a system that Anderson feels he fits well in, and you can bet that is something that the staff is selling in a big way.

Been catchin up wit all the posts on KA. Can't believe some y'all are down on one of the most talented players this brother has ever seen  (and I ain't seen him live since he left PC!)

Y'all are wonderin what you get with Kyle?

ZONE BUSTER

Some y'all think a zone buster is a brother who's strokin it from the corner. But anybody who go up against a zone know what a real zone buster is: A talented brother at the high post.

Picture KA in the high post:

-Kick out to D'Angelo for a three? Done.
-Bounce pass to Moe or Jakarr cuttin on the baseline? Done.
-Lob pass to Norvel for the alley? Done.
-Dribble drive and floater? Done. Hell man, it's his fav shot.

BREAK LEADER

Some y'all think the leader of the break gots to be out ahead of his teammates. Aint the case. You get the wings out first and then lead the ball up.

Picture KA reboundin a long miss and headin up court with the most extreme finishers.

-50-foot bounce pass to a cuttin Amir ala Omar? Done.
-No look dish to SirD for an easy two? Done.
-Halfcourt alley to Jakarr (Hurley to Hill)? Done.

Look, Steve has got the athletes in this class. KA is the guy that bring them all t'gether. KA is the one who lets all them cut the nets.

You forgot to mention that he throws a pretty good outlet pass, as well.   ;)   Good post, Choz.

Choz-What position do you think he plays at the collegiate level or does it really matter?

And you don't think Jevon gets squeezed if Kyle comes right?

The intriguing part to me is Kyle presents matchup problems at the point and at SF...his height at point helps vision vs. zone Ds, and quickness off the dribble will give fits to defenders at SF.  His versatility allows for Jevon and Kyle to be in command at the point with plenty of PT.  And as Choz pointed out, having the teammates to finish will make it that much easier running the show.

Could see them playin together in the same backcourt as "guards" and not a 1 or a 2.

But it all depend on who play the point at St. John this year and if they any good. Never seen Nuri or Phil Green play so I dont know if they can handle the job at the BE level.

All I know is KA ought to be among the top 5 playaz as a frosh regardless of position. So he gonna be on the floor no matter what.

I remember seeing Kyrie play and thinking the game looks so easy for him, effortless.  KA seems the same way.  Although not the same type of guard, he too makes the game seem easy.  People need to stop focusing on how fast he can run a 40 yard dash.  He is gonna be a star.

Choz,  you make a persuasive case for Kyle. The only problem he is also being heavilly recruited by other schools, hopefully Lavin can close the deal.

I actually think Kyle is being underecruited.  It may be that he has just said "no, thanks" to many of the heavy hitters but he has few schools on his list.

To put it on the record: I aint got no inside knowledge from KA's camp.

He could end up at a lotta schools.

Just luv his game.

Sure. On the nova board a poster stated that Fuq Edwin and Theodore confirmed that. Seton Hall makes sense to me

Don't believe that nonsense on that nova board.

Choz, I'm in.  You sure do paint a compelling picture. In addition, you are correct, we do have enough athletes, and Anderson is quite an enigma that can helpmus in a very different way.  Hes a hell of a passer and Has great vision.

The recruiting class this year is fantastic.  Beyond expectations for year 1.  But, Let's get KA to SJU playing in the Garden.  He's a program-changer.  Could be the best player in the Big East year 1 with this crew.
