i saw phil greene and norvel exchange tweets this morning.  phil said to norvel, "we need you".  to which norvel said "i heard". 

also good news from norvel:

damn_Norvel norvel STiX pelle
Jus finish takin two test and I knw I got a 100% on both

Norvel has been quiet which I think is a good thing. I hope this means he is committed to getting his work done and coming here either in December or next fall. I just want him here, December would be awesome but adding him for 2012 with Gathers who is a stud and Wood who seems to a real sleeper would be fine also. We have to think ahead and if Norvel can get here by 2012 we will have a hell of a team.

i guess, but the fact that he's still communicating with his teammates (which Norvel initiated, btw) has to be a good sign.

Pelle was headed with Amir, seems to is8 today.  All signs indicate Norvel is on board so far.  I really want to see this kid succeed and make it here at SJU.  Keeping this class together is great for both the kids and team chemistry.  As I said before, there aren't a ton of schools that will look out for you the way the people at SJU do.  Not many schools who would keep a kid like Rob Thomas on bball scholarship and get a kid like that to finish with a degree, regardless of the fact that he wasn't a real contributor in bball.  I think kids like Pelle, Amir and the rest will do well to see it through.  Good people here.  Pulling for you Norvel.
