right.  the "sign" was a fortune that read "it's not in your character to give up."  so i take amir's response to mean that norvel has given up on stj.

anyway, all this is speculation.  but i've given up on norvel. seems like a young, indecisive, fragile teenager who appears to have been home sick since the summer.  i actually think it's best for him to stay in Cali.  i think he needs to have a good support system constantly around him.  i hope whatever decision he makes, that it's best for his mental being.

I dont think amir would be joking around with Norvel if he was seriously considering leaving. Loyality seems to be very important to Amir. Thats my take on the tweet. Norvel wants to play in the league, I can't see him choosing SDSU's staff and players over ours just because Polee may want him to.

Actually, I recall a few occasions when Norvel said he wanted to attend school at not too big a campus. I think he knew he'd do better at a smaller school.  This of course contradicts SDSU's 28,000 undergrads.  So we're talking a school that's twice as big as SJ's.  Not saying this is a determining factor that will keep Norvel wanting to stick with SJ's.  But he prolly is thinking about that if he has visited SDSU.  Bottom line is I'm not even thinking about it anymore.  I hope he makes the best choice for him.  We're biased, but we want him to be with his guys.

Well personally, it's rare that I say "Monday is a big day for me".  I'm not a big fan of Mondays.

I mean couldnt it be something as normal as his birthday or something?

I think last week Norvel told some people on twitter that he would let them know whether he was going to SDSU on Monday.

One of the posters on RM said he heard from a member of the coaching staff at the St Marys game that Norvel was staying with us.   But he didn't say if that meant Dec or 2012. 



I have no inside knowledge, but I gotta think that Monday he's announcing whether he's opening his commitment or staying with us.   All his comments have said he's gotta prep this year, so I doubt he'll be elidgible in Dec.  Hopefully I'm wrong, but several people have said the trimester schedule will make that difficult/impossible.

But who knows, let's hope for the best.   Bottom line is I think all of us will be grateful to have Norvel in the lineup next year. 

He's probably excited to hear about how he did on a test.

Norvel's going to study criminology. His concentration will be cryptography!  I did send him the school link for criminology. Everyone wants to study that now - all the CSI shows blew it up. Won't be enough jobs for all these students majoring in it!

I have never wanted to believe Zags more than this post!  It would be AWESOME if Norvel re-commits in the wake of Gathers flaking out of his verbal.  I think we need this shot in the arm to re-establish recruiting momentum.  Fingers crossed!!
