Q&A: Recruiting update with Rivals.com's Jerry Meyer

Which coach hired this offseason do you think made the most headway this summer?

Steve Lavin at St. John's hasn't landed the big fish yet, but neither has any other first-year coach. Lavin does have the top prospects on both coasts seriously considering playing their college ball in the Big Apple.

Baylor is amazing and I am happy for them. Balyor has recently gotten a McDonalds All-American if I am not mistaken and they have this amazing incoming class. We need to hit some homeruns with these schollies.

Perry Jones and Isaiah Austin both have enormous potential.
I don't want to wind up with more NCAA issues.
It's taken six years to come close to sniffing another NCAA Tournament.
