The only time I can see Dj coming off the bench is after they announce his name in pre game introductions. No way do I see him coming off the bench during games once the whistle blows

This St. John's team looks terrible without Boothe in the game for more than a few minutes at a time.  Does anyone remember the Providence game?  A bunch of guys that can handle the ball does not equal a point guard.  It is the most fundamental aspect of the game:  getting the ball up the court.

I love DJ.  He's been my favorite player for going on three seasons.  I think we need to have a very healthy dose of DJ attacking the basket out of half court sets in order to really flourish this coming season.  However, we need a PG in the game at all times.  Whether it is Boothe or Stith, I don't want to see us go more than 2-3 minutes at a time without a true PG in there.

I love the way DJ can isolate and get to the baseline when he's one on one.  He has tremendous vision when get gets a step on his man to the baseline and he is exceptional at finding shooters that have their feet set.  His handle is way too lose to be asked to handle the point full time, though.

I agree with Poison and Marillac. Burrell needs to step up and be the player we thought he would become after his freshman season. IMO it looked like he wasnt confident with the ball and lacked the killer instinct needed to attack the basket, hopefully the new staff has time to correct that. Dj also needs to get stronger with the ball, he had his shot blocked too many times last year

And as Marillac pointed out, we need Boothe on the floor

What's the point of asking me to expand on my "no" if you won't even give an opinion?

Dj is probably our best penetrator,

Booth is the best penetrator on the team, he just can't finish.

I'd like to see DJ as a point power forward because that would mean Remi was cleared and signed with us.
