St. John's on ESPN for Opening Game vs St. Mary's

Will face St. Mary's on ESPN November 16th at 2am.  Will be a part of ESPN's season kickoff marathon.

Honestly have no clue what they are returning but they typically have a real nice squad.  This would be a great road victory and could really help our RPI at the end of the year.  Considering the Great Alaskan Shootout is from the 24th to 27th I'm curious if we go back home or stay out west.  Seems like that'd be a lot of school to miss right before finals time.  Assuming we travel home after the game, that's 3 west coast trips we'll have.

They have been a consistent NCAA tourney team for the past few years. They have a great coach and have built a very good program. St. Mary's also has one of the best home records in the country and they don't play a cupcake schedule.

Will the Team go out to Cali on the 15th for the St Mary's game on the 16th and continue onto Alaska for Great Alaska Shoot Out on the 24th to the 27th or will they come back across the country and make the Trip to Alaska separately?

This apprears to be a lot of travel. We need to remember that these kids are students 1st.

I travel for Business and travaling to the West Coast and the time change is a killer.
Within a 2 week period this is a lot of travel for anyone not to mention kids that have a full course load and will be going into finals when get back from Alaska

One other issue is the game time.  Note that it's 11pm here in Cali, 2am in NY.  They better come out Friday night to get acclimated or else they're going to be ready to go to bed before the game starts (okay they're younger than me but still, I'm going to have to work hard to stay up to watch ; )).  Re your jet lag thingy I always found the first morning on the east coast far more difficult now that I'm on the west coast than I found the first night on the west coast when I lived east.  After the first night it's pretty easy.
