Northwestern's Basketball Schedule (Stinks.)
« on: September 29, 2010, 04:35:50 PM »
Posting here because St. John's has limited chances for marquee wins - St. Mary's, Arizona State (possibly), Northwestern (possibly), Duke (I won't hold my breath), and UCLA (on the road).

Northwestern's schedule is just terrible.

That's true, but outside of Iowa, every other Big 10 game will probably be tough.

We still have the potential for 5-6 patsies.

Hopefully, we're not one of them.

I think our schedule is fantastic.  Arizona State will be ranked in the top 20 all year and Duke could be #1 overall when we play them.  UCLA won't be "elite," but they are UCLA and they will be a top 40 team.  Northwestern will be a bubble team and and a quality win.  St. Mary's as well.

Texas' is harder (of the games listed), but those are three tough road matchups.  Old Dominion is a talented team and plays them tough every year - beat them on their campus last season.  At Temple and Memphis?  Tough games there.  And Utah State, while better at home, is no slouch.
