Un-EFFING-believable!!!  I thought we'd be a little higher after Harrison, but that is believing we have Lindsey which they are not factoring in yet.  I'm not sure how JUCO's are quantified in the rankings. 

It's been said that Garrett is a given and we are heads up with Michigan for Pointer.  Pointer wants to come here and his parents want to go to Umich.  A tensecond scan of the comments of his friends and family on facebook makes it clear this kid needs to get the hell out of Detriot to be as successful as he can be. 

It's amazing how we are going head to head and winning with schools that were owning us the last seven years.  We have three 6'7 forwards comitted, two scoring combos, and a 6'6 2/3 that is basically verballed and we are still more appealing to a top 100 wing than West Virginia and a huge school in his home state!  We couldn't come close to West Virginia the last few years!!!!!

This is just insane the caliber of player we are getting right now. With Lindsey assumed to be committing soon we are a center away from having one of the best young starting fives in the country next year. A big man would be crazy not to want to join these players, I hope Pelle and other top big men are taking notice.

We should be #3 tomorrow.  We'll be #2 if/when Amir Garrett announces.  We'll be in a dog fight with Kentucky for #1.  I have no idea how the quantifiy these things, but we have five ships left after Lindsey commits tomorrow and they have two.  If we land Achiuwa, Pelle, and Garrett, I think the top spot will got to us.

i dont think we'll take #1. kentucky has 4 players coming in, all of which are ranked higher than our players. (2,3,7 and 12)

Rankings are nice but who cares!! This 2011 class is off the charts.

Currently 6 BE teams within top 15 in the country. The climb won't be easy.

I'd put our class up against Duke right now.  It's very comparable.  Kentucky on the other hand is just silly, and, yes, we'd be beating them on sheer #'s if we can some how grabe the top spot.  I'd honestly take our class over UK's, though, because most of UK's recruits will be gone in two years.  As juniors, our recruits will be playing against their next #1 class of freshman.  We could be a very special team in three years.

LOL  Dang!  I thought the same exact thing, Poison.  Though, I was thinking at Cameron (as, that is where we'll be playing them during the 2011-2012 season).

Do you need me to do the math for you?  Duke's 2 top recruits are better than our best...1 of whom is TOPS in ALL the land.  The average of Duke's 4 is 42.  The average of our 4 who are rated is 53.

Their median is 42.  Our median is 45.

Unless we get some TOP end recruits, or some of our recruits move up and theirs don't, Duke has the better class in terms of rankings.


THAT SAID - I am not saying our guys would lose in a 4 on 4 contest to them, but thats not how its measured.  Duke is ahead of us unless we pull off a Quincy Miller, or someone higher than the guys we've already gotten.

I hope you're right, but this ain't Ricky Moore vs. Trajan Langdon here.  Rivers is legit.
