We need him back for Big East play, hopefully he will only miss a month or so but as long as hes back for the Big East we can deal with it.

I gotta say, this is truly meaningless at this point. JB is a good kid who's trying, but this is who he is. He's injury prone.

The staff can expect Boothe, Thomas and probably a few others to drop with injuries before the season is over.

6 weeks if thats what it is isn't too bad. Burrell has had injuries but he hasn't missed many games. He played with the face shield but he still played through it.

Burrell really can't catch a break (no pun intended).  I really felt last year he was shaken up by the broken bones in his face and it really affected how aggressive he was at times.  Hopefully, he can recover from this fast and be ready for the season.  I really think for us to have a chance at making the tournament Burrell has to be a force down low.

Could've been worse.  I think we need him to play up to his ability if we have a chance at the dance this year.  Six weeks puts us at first week of December which gives him enough tune up work before the Big East games start.

I think we're mixing up Burrell injuries. He had the face mask two years ago, not last year.

Last year, I believe it was a hand injury as well.

But this kinda the point. It's always something.

I thought last year was a foot injury. Didn't he drain the first shot of the game vs. Duke on a smooth-looking mid-range jumper, and came down and rolled his ankle and miss the rest of the game?  >:(

I dont know how long it takes your soft ass to recover from a broken bone but that sounds right.

Some people thought he was tentative at the beginning of last year due to a result of the face injury from the prior year.

I think he's tentative because he's a tentative player.

He has trouble holding onto the rock as it is. 1 hard slap at that hand and than what?

Wow, you are right.  Let's red shirt him for two years.

Matillac, what would you think about Kevin Clark at center?

Hopefully Baldi will finally stop with this nonsense when the poster who we know has a direct line to Burrell says that Justin won't be redshirting.

Fat chance.  Our players have trouble coming back from injuries lately. They seem to linger, hopefully Im wrong

If there were any connection at all between different players' injuries -- which I really, really doubt -- then our trainer or surgeon needs to be let go.
