How tall is this kid? We could sure use a 6'10 Power Forward.

A quick google search linked me to a SDSU forum where they said he was committed there.

Also had this quote:

Bryant Crowder, 6-10, Ctr, frosh. Can finish, rebound and block shots, and should make a huge impact this season. Think Amare Stoudemire in terms of style. Played in the Say No Classic this summer and averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds in the 4 games I saw (going up against plenty of D-1 guys including some from the likes of UCLA and USC), helping his team to the league semifinals. Plays with a purpose and understands the game. With his combination of height, athleticism and skill he’s among the most talented players in the California JC ranks.

Possiblly at Santa Monica JC last year
& Utah State University-Eastern Utah this year ?

Was overshadowed last year at Santa Monica by 6'10" Bryant Crowder who's now at Utah State University-Eastern Utah.

Did he commit to SDSU? Looks like he committed there over the summer but it could be old information.

Those weren't his averages, according to Rivals, those were his high games.

Looks like he'd be a good fit.  Long, using the glass well, runs the court.  Sign him up.

As a junior- with 2 years elig left.
I think he did a prep year, 09/10 at Santa Monica JC  & now starting his 2nd yr JC

We need 2 bigs from remaining schollys.
Even if both BE level- would we really want 2 JC's-- Achua & Crowder ?

I wonder if they're looking at Crowder (per Dave) because they dont want to wait till spring for Achua ?

Team needs more than 2 bigs, obviously. I still expect, based on what happens with Pelle/ Achiuwa and now Crowder that they will be beating the bushes for athletic bigs, even if raw or foreign.

Do they really want MORE than 2 more PF/C's ?
We have Polee & Sampson at 3 & 4
If 2 out of Achua/ Pelle/ Crowder commit, I wouldnt want a 3rd big unless a top 25-50 kid.
We'd still be slightly small in 2011- but  ok

If 2 of above committ (making 7 committs) I would then hold 1 for spring and 2 for 2012.
(Unless the McD AA's are knocking down the door !!)

I'd want more than 2 bigs!  Not necessarily in the early signing period - Pelle and Achiuwa don't seem ready to sign by their statements and lack of visits. If the staff sees a guy late who they can develop, that might be beneficial - not everyone's going to play, and I would like to see someone redshirt to balance the classes a little more.
