Sounds really promising!  Now I need to go light some candles in church and pray for his academic eligibility.

My fantasy outcome is Chandler cleared by NCAA, signs w Johnnies and Nolan  preps and verbals to SJU for 2013. Of course, I want numbers to allow for inclusion of Lawrence in 2013. I know I am getting greedy and a bit unrealistic, but fun to dream. Chandler is the kind of kid who could bolt after a year, so I think protecting our flank is in order.

Pelle is better but Chandler not far behnd in my opinion. Pelle just would have fit Lavin system a little better.

Pelle has a higher ceiling.  But Chandler is more ready to play down low in the BE I think.

Hopefully the NCAA makes a decision soon so the young man doesn't feel like he's trapped in Limbo. From what I've read on the board, it seems that if the coaching staff is wary of having any recruits declared ineligible after last year's incidents. If Chandler's eligibility isn't determined within the next month or two, do you think Coach Lavin will hold the scholarship open or will he try to use the scholarship on a safer, albeit less talented, option?

Was not inferring he will be NBA ready in a year, rather a kid who seems to get restless. Too many kids leave early when not ready. Hopefully, this is all moot.

Honestly, the kids that don't know what they need to do academically to be eligible are just not even attempting to figure it out and no one in their life is trying either.

It would take minimal effort on their own, by the parents, their coach or their "advisors" to know what is needed to meet NCAA academic requirements.
