Lavin isn't blameless in this debacle. If Norm had left Evans in the game to pull his http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMpsttlXye8&feature=relateded Magic Johnson impersonation down the stretch, we'd all be calling for his head,  again.

Unfortunately this season is going to be a lesson in frustration management. The free throw thing is absurd for a bunch of seniors.  Embarrassing.

Are you serious?  The only things this team showed tonight were heart and character.  I thought the game was over earlier, but Horne stole the inbounds and DJ made a great finish.  Then, Stith almost came up with a steal at the end.  Nicholson hit a step back three to win it.

We have guys on this team that make plays--usually on the defensive end--when it's needed.  They had open shots and missed them.  You can't blame that on heart or character.  They were locked in.

How about playing a 6'8 doof that can't hit ft's, was starting to play reckless, and looked lost and panicked out there?  Why play him when the opposing team sits its only legit interior threat?

Actually, didnt Norm find a way to beat this team last year? At their place?

Totally agree!

All you hear from these kids is how they want to go out as winners and go to the tourney.  Well boys, losing a game like this kills your resume come March.  One of these seniors needs to step up and be a vocal leader in the huddles and on the floor.  Take responsibility and light a fire under everyone's behind!!

There have been some bad loses over the years, but this ones stings a lot more for some reason.  I really thought these kids would turn the corner!!  Disappointed!!!

I think Norm lost to the Bonnies last year.  At least we are consistent.

DJ has been bad this year.  6 points tonight?  Looks lost out there.  Lavin has a countdown to graduation clock in his office.

I don't think it is lack of heart, it is more like a lack of skill and consistency.  They show moments that gives me hope that they will make the tourny but then they have times like the middle of the first half which was just embarrassing.  They should have been up by 20 at half and that would have been the game.

A team of seniors can't continually shot 50% from the free throw line.  It's unforgivable.  And it is certainly not the coaching staff's fault.  That's on the gang that can't shoot straight.....

Horne should have been in for Evans way before that. Horne and Hardy deserve the most PT on this team from the guard position. Sit DJ until he learns to be aggressive.

I know Polee is a freshman but he should see the court more. Only 7 minutes tonight.

Anyone see DJ drive the lane on the right side, dribbled under the basket, so he can take a lefthanded layup. No right hand whatsover

He had 2 forced shots, bad turnover, and was getting bodied by Cook/Nicholson. Had no business out there.

Its not the lack of heart or character its the lack of talent. This staff isnt going to preform miracles and its clear that this team doesn't have enough talent to make the NCAA run we all wanted.

On a serious note at least Thomas knows how to play the game. He was in horrid shape yet he still got in position to board and used his body to create space to get his shot off against taller defenders.
