That is the overall record and BE records of the seniors heading into this season. What were you expecting? Even if you prescribe to the notion that the players will get better simply by staying 4 seasons you had to take into a/c the lousy coaching they received the previous three seasons coupled with trying to learn a different system. While generally experience is a good thing it is not like any of these players as Seniors would be better than a team of Freshman that were Mickey D All Americans. And as the title of the thread soberly points out these players have had three years of losing experience.

Give it some time. I expect the team to finish with a similar record to last season. While I am not ecstatic with some of the things Lavin has done I understand that he is trying to implement his style with a severly limited roster whose best player seems to be pouting.

Before the season I predicted we would struggle and some of you accused me of being too negative. It is the opposite actually. I saw how hard this could be and I do not hink we have much talent. Lavin has never been accused of being John Wooden or Bobby Knight, but he is a great recruiter and an upgrade over the last guy. Hey at least the team is scoring more than last season 74-70 through 8 games.

I was expecting Hollywood to wave his magic wand and the pumpkin would turn into a beautiful coach and the field mice would turn into stallions and all would be dandy less we stayed out past midnight.

Gotta give you credit here.  You did call it.  I think everyone was excited that Norm was gone in addition to the great recruiting class that Lavin acquired that we just assumed this team would be much improved.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.

I refuse to get all worked up about this season's up's and downs.  And yes, there will be ups.  We will be back soon, i have no doubt.  Just not yet.
