If they aren't 7-3 before BE play, it's over.

its already over

They don't show me something, I think it've had it with them, and I'm putting a good chunk of my tickets on stub hub. It's an expensive proposition to watch these guys. The time they've had for development is over. The season starts or ends now.

This tourny has zero juice. St Johns,Fordham,Hofstra and either Iona or Manhattan should be in this

i think thats why its called a festival instead of a tournament....tournament denotes some sort of challenge...and while we do, in fact, have a difficult time defeating these scrub teams every year, i still think festival sums it up better...maybe even go one step further, and call it the Holiday Fair, or Holiday Circus, or how about, The Holiday Flea Market, where you pick up wins cheap

I'm sorry but I'm not impressed at all with Northwestern, sure they have put up points at will but St. Francis didn't even try to play defense...didn't give them any new looks...nothing to be afraid of from this game.

Baldi, Hofstra has been in it. What's the point?

Either way, nobody goes. The crowds in this thing the last few years have been beyond depressing. Luckily MSG is dark.

- Twice in the 1st half Prez rebounded the ball and took it coast to coast for scores.  Makes me wish he was given the opportunity to do this with 5.2 against the Bonnies.

- PARIS Horne! at the end of the 1st half.  Showed more hops than a case of Magic Hat.  Exciting players making exciting plays.  It's what attracts people to this game in the first place.

- The physical play and busted eye on Cohen was effective.  Less of a factor as the game went on.

- Mckillop kid hit monster 35 foot 3's back to back.  Sick range.  Makes me wonder if fouling to give the one and one on the last possesion would have been better than yielding a good look at a game tying 3.  Usually I don't like to do that but in this case?

- We played no better or worse in this one than we have in the last two A10 losses.  The only difference was 70+% FT shooting as opposed to 60% and 50% counting backwards.  It's that simple.

- Our FT defense needs work.  Bonnies and the Mckillps shot lights out against us.  12 for 13 would make Murphy, Barry and Sharmin proud.

- DJ had a game like he had virtually every game last year just minus the assists.  17 pts on 7 for 9 and 9 boards.
Memo to Hollywood:  This is your best player.  Needs to be on the court the whole game and needs to have his number called late in the close ones.  He used to be a good FT shooter too.  Perhaps it will come back.

- I went to Fordham and St. Bonnie games - heartbreaking losses.  I skip last night's game - heartbreaking win.   I detect a pattern.  I'm staying home.

Two things about Justin Burrell last night.

1) He was a key component in the victory with his late-game post defense and tenacious rebounding. I wish they could consistently get that kind of toughness out of him on the defensive end, because it's a definite missing piece to the puzzle.

2) Why does he always feel the need to put the ball on the court when he catches the ball by the basket? Very frustrating and does nothing except add "emphasis" to the dunk or layup you're not going to make because you just allowed time for two defenders to get on top of you.

Last night was a pretty poor overall performance, but at least it wasn't a loss. Somehow Vegas has us favored over Northwestern tonight.
