i enjoyed the fordham game because we were up against a team that played the game of their lives...we scored 81...and it was exciting until the bitter end.  the northwestern game was great because their three point shooters are lights out...so we could have blown it at the end.  a great win because we played so well.

uconn mailed it in last year.  many of us were afraid that a win would bring roberts back for at least one year to coach his seniors.  that took the starch out of that one.

lavin gives us hope.  that's why the games ...especially the wins...are so sweet.

Enjoyed the Fordham loss?  God Bless, imho it was the worst loss i've experienced as a St. Johns fan (15 yrs).  I dont watch worry abt how much the other team tries and how much it means.  THe more it mattered to them was the more embarrassing it was for us.

I know its apples and oranges but when the Giants lost on Sunday, the last thing in my mind was what a great player Michael Vick is...

I think I harbor less animosity toward UConn fans because I didn't grow up in NY and haven't been around very many. I've met a few here and there and they seemed alright to me. Syracuse fans, on the other hand, are complete trash and I enjoy their misery. I've never gotten the 'trash' feel from UConn fans.

Having said that, I have tickets to the Texas/UConn game here in Austin and I look forward to watching them lose.

Uconn fans are trashiest. SU isn't far behind.

It comes down to whether you're talking about former students, or locals, who are otherwise known as trash, or poor people.

I just watched the Brownlee tackle on a defenseless airbourne player. That was borderline abuse. First the other guys was defenseless and Brownlee hammered him with the body. Am I missing something here?

No, your not.  It was a flagrant foul. But a good one, if that makes any sense....

Growing up in Connecticut and being a lifetime sju fan I have gotten shit my whole life and have learned to loath all pukon fans with much animosity.... they have no other team to root for and they are all old pathetic townies who have no real ties to the school.... Syracuse fans may be trashier however just because of the demographics of upstate... either or its great watching both teams fans squirm when they lose... especially to us..... calhoun may be the worst human alive

It wasn't a flagrant foul.  It was an intentional foul.  The penalty for a flagrant foul is 2 shots, possession and ejection from the game.  Intentional carries no ejection.

I think most of those complaining about the call were watching live at the game where it didn't appear to be so bad at full speed.  The first time I saw it on TV I didn't like it either.   Then when they showed the slow mo it was an obvious rare good call out of Higgins.

Enjoyed the Fordham loss?  God Bless,

I enjoyed it too.  Yes, it was a damn brutal loss.  But the game itself was tight to the end and darn exciting.  As was the St. Bonnie game.  It was up and down basketball, a ton of points were scored and the place was going nuts.

I'd never been to the beautiful Fordham campus, the small, quaint Rose Hill gym where you're right on top of the action, or eatin dinner on Arthur Ave., the true little Italy.  Plus, my entire family was with me in red representing and all and all it was a pleasanat mini road trip.

In general, following Johnnie bball should be and is a fun part of my life.  Other parts?  Not as fun.

You got to stop and smell the roses sometimes.

I like you're Mike Vick analogy.  It's a good one.

The Fordham game was 1 of the craziest games Ive been to in a long time. Rose Hill gym was rockin that night. The Fordham students, alumni and oldtimer fans were so loud even when they were down 20. Im not a big fan or Fordham or Pecora, but that was something to see. I dont think St Johns visits Fordham for a long time

Baldi, you're not a big fan of Pecora? Not even now?

When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!
