“@TheRecruitScoop: UCLA has offered Isaiah Whitehead, a 2014 guard from the Juice All-Stars.”
Best news for Non-UCLA fans re: Whiteheaad - the Bruins already have a commitment from 2013 Elite guard Zach LaVine (made a big jump to #28 in the latest SCOUT rankings, and continues to blow up this summer). Zach was projected as a scoring PG last year as a 6'0 160 lb'er early in his Junior year. But he's grown 3+ inches in the last year (now at 6'3 1/2 180), and his doctors are now projecting him to end up at at least 6'5 - maybe 6'7 . Doesn't rule out LaVine eventually playing PG, but means he doesn't HAVE to play PG at the collegiate level. There's actually some concern he could outgrow the backcourt altogether.
They're still heavily recruting Whitehead - but with Norman Powell likely still there as a senior for the 2015 season (what would be Whitehead's frosh year), Jordan Adams only a Junior, and LaVine only a Soph - I'm not sure that much of an elite is likely heading to Westwood.
