Tickets for the big game
« on: January 21, 2011, 09:34:33 AM »
The online ticketing system appears sold out but I just called the box office and got tickets for the Cincy game.

Just in case any of us still need em.

Oh it will be.  4:00 Satuday game not up against Jet playoffs - nationally ranked opponent in the on campus gym.  Rutgers, Depaul and S. Florida won't match this.  It's gonna be sold out or near so and by far the largest crowd of the year.  I hope D-buckets is icing the ankle.

This has to be a sellout. This is a huge game for us and if we want to make the NCAAs it is a must win. If the fans don't show up for this one I don't know what they are waiting for. I will be there, make sure you are if you can make it.

You don't like Hardy boyz?  He has been the clear cut and only choice thus far for team MVP.  No one could dispute that.  So why don't you make dispariging remarks about our players that have underperformed rather than than those that have excelled way beyond our expectations .  It makes more sense, no?

This has to be a sellout.

As of this morning it wasn't a sellout as I just bought tickets.  Any ideas why you can't get tickets as of yesterday on the online purchasing system?  It shows a message that would lead you to believe there are no more tickets. Do they shut it down close to game time or something?  There are probably prospective on-line buyers out there that think it's a sellout when it isn't.

Be a shame if it's not sold out and people are getting turned away due to a marketing glich.

Like I said, Hardy may have exceded expectations against slow teams like Northwestern. Hows he doing in the Big East against good teams?

A sellout is a pipe dream, unfortunately.

It'll be close.  We should have 5k+.

I wish you were coming Gonzalo.  We haven't lost yet with you in the house, right?

It is my mother (four games) who is undefeated.

The last two games that I was (three years ago against Villanova and Marquette) we lost.

Ok.  You stay home and send your madre.

The team is 11 - 6 and 1 - 3 with me in the house this year.  If we don't beat the Bearcats I'm watching the rest of the way on TV only.

Me: He scored 20 against Gtown and WV and 21 against Prov.

You: Those are not good teams.

Me:  2 of them are nationally ranked and big in conference efforts on the road are always important and appreciated.

Thanks for the input, could you be more of a pessimist geez. We have ton of work left to do but with every bracket I have seen has us in the tournament so how is it pipe dream. It's against the odds for us to make it but we have a chance and it starts tomorrow. We need to guard the 3 pt line better but that hasn't happened the whole year besides the ND game at the Garden. This a big game for both teams and it should be a good atmosphere.

Call up the ticket office in the morning and see if you can buy them over the phone, if not, then ask if it would be feasible for you to walk up and buy them.

This was why I started this thread.  It's not sold out even though it would appear so based on the online ticket purchasing application.  Call the box office and I'm sure you could buy them or at the ticket window pre-game.

If you want to go there are always scalpers outside or at the Sly fox. Never have I paid more then face. Seton Hall was close to sell out last year. Paid less then face 10 rows behind Seton halls bench. No excuses get to the game. We need this one.

There are no excuses. But what about all of the other exciting things to do in Jamaica, Queens?
