Neither is Boothe.

I disagree. I think Boothe's ball handling, tempo pushing, and pesky defense is needed. As much as it is that I think Hardy is more effective off the ball than on for extended minutes.

Hardy is no longer running off screens and is seeing an onslaught of doubles.

Why should Hardy be coming off the bench?  If anyone should be it should be DJ.  His play has been borderline embarrassing.

I think we're forgetting what has really changed from last year to this year.

Sean Evans.

Time to give him 30 minutes per game!

What did Evans do at the end of the game? I missed that

In the final 30 seconds, he shoved a player who was driving to the basket from behind, a hard foul.... on a walk-on guard. Nice time to show some fire. But I get it, he and the other guys were frustrated.  Still, that's some poor form right there.

Thanks. DJ and the rest must have been upset with Evans after that. He was probably the topic of conversation when they got their mani/pedis today

It's time for nothing. Everyone has had a chance to run the offense, and nonome has been able to get it done.

I hate to say it because I like all of these kids, but they just don't have it.

Can we start Boothe, Hardy, Horne, Brownlee and Burrell. I think that is probably our best all around lineup. I like DJ and Polee coming off the bench because they seem to be good in short spirts and then struggle.

Lets see on team that has no offense you guys want to bench two of our best three offensive players ::) No matter what Lavin does outside of pettioning the NCAA to let the Maliks count as one person so we can play 6 on 5, we will struggle. Coach needs to scrape this offense though as it is pretty pathetic.

Maybe a certain offensive player should shoot the damn ball and also stop pump faking and dribbling into double teams?

I do not think you are allowed to shoot until 9 seconds is left and the ball goes inside first.

This isn't Hoosiers.  Yeah most of the time they wait to start the offense at the 15 second mark but teams are almost daring them before that point.  DJ has had plenty of looks hes passed up.

Regardless its no excuse for dribbling into double teams.

On the other site I compared this offense to coach Dale's offense pre-Jimmy Chitwood.
Moose, against Duke count the possesions where anyone shoots before 15 seconds are left. Like I said roster is flawed but this offensive has to go!

Exactly right. Offense has to go, we dont have the player that can break down the D and get a basket. St Johns needs to play fast and get shots up, schoolyard ball. They were playing like this att he beginning of the season and it worked, but again that wasnt against Big East teams

what's this rumor I've been hearing about Lavin firing Mike Dunlap to give you a spot on the staff? :2funny:

The offense worked against the 1st 4 Big East opponents.  And they went to it because the players couldn't get back and cover in the less-deliberate style - that's how Fordham happened.  That's why Wagner was close.
