It wasn't the hard foul that I have a problem with. I don't care if Burrell put the guy into a coma.
You don't stand over him afterwards like a gangster. Your intention shouldn't be injure the player. It should be stop him from scoring.

Burrell doesn't think sometimes.

It really wasn't that big a deal.  People are complaining about what Kennedy looked like he was gonna do?

Besides Burrell was just looking to see if he was alright.

I wish Burrell played like that since Day 1

That is child's play compared to what the Hall players have done.  I'm not comparing SJU to the Hall.
I could care less about the thugs from Hall.  Just because they are thugs doesnt make Burrell and DJ right in this case.
I dont mind the foul like I said but standing over him like that was a JOKE.
It was like SJU thought this game was going to be givin to them tonight.

I don't disagree, JB shouldn't have stared him down but to say they should sit the first half of senior night is lunacy.  I don't know if you have ever played a college sport but it isn't all fun and games.  Playing a college sport is a job and requires sacrifices and hard work, don't get me wrong game day is fun but these guys have given it their all for four years.  They deserve to be recognized and praised for what they have accomplished not be punished for a small lapse of judgment that can be corrected in practice.

It was a hard foul when a guy should not have been going for a dunk with a big lead and under 10 seconds left.  It was the right thing to do.  There was absolutely no intent to injure the guy.  As for standing over him, he shouldn't have done that.  But so what.  I guess he was sending a message that the SHU player.

All in all, a really bad game.  They had no energy on offense and got killed with the three.  The Hall had turnovers in each of their first 4 possessions and we didn't capitalize.  Also, there were no defensive adjustments coming out of halftime.

DJ did nothing wrong, they were fighting over the ball and the play was over and the guy tossed DJ to the floor. DJ was pissed but the refs and the players calmed him down, he handled himself pretty well. Was what Burrell did the right or the smart thing to do? no but was it exactly what those punks deserved? yes. Burrell isn't going to let his teammates get thrown around and let SH run up the score wit only a few seconds left, it was a bush league move they have to hold the ball in that situation.

Not what I'm talking about.

What are you talking about then? That was the big play that involved DJ at the end of the game.

Was just in the car listening to Michael Kay.  Is there any NY based sports guy that knows less about sports than him? All this guy knows is the yankees.  Last year he said, without question,  that St. john's would never be an elite program again.  No one wanted to come here,  blah blah.  Wrong Mike.

Just now he goes off about what a horrible loss last night was, how Lavin lost his composure and cost his team the game.  How Justin Burrell threw a punch ( he later corrected himself).  According to Mike, they have no chance because they blew the double bye.  They were over rated.  It's mind blowing how stupid some of these guys are.

st. John's was down 4 with burrell going to the line before that ref changed the call to a jump ball and possession went to SH, who then nail a 3.  that was a HUGE play and Lavin was correct in questioning the call.  Instead of being down 2, we are down 7.

Sorry for the rant,  Michael Kay drives me nuts.  That giant head his full of rocks i think. Did he go to Iona?

We were down 9 when he got the T right?  Game was over...he must've read Robbins column and really thought Lavin cost us the game.  Remember its the radio guy's job to get you riled up.

I wouldn't say useless. That's not the right word for it. Talentless. Also fitting is shameless. When Phil Rizzuto would get excited about a shallow fly to right field, you'd understand, because he was old and blind. When Michael Kay does it, you'd like to smack him upside the head. Several times.
