Yeah but that was before my quoted tweet from him and we don't don't even know the full context he said that in.  We do know today he made it clear he "cannot wait" to play for SJU.  Furthermore are people suggesting that after being recruited and strongly committing and then going to SJU Midnight Madness he is going to commit to LSU who has done exactly what in the SEC recently???

I'm just completing the entire story.  If one tweet is being analyzed like some are, the other should as well.  It's only fair.

Can we show him some love on twitter ?  I feel like we don't have enough fans doing that compared to almost every program.

Can we have a twitter recruit forum and then the regular recruit forum.

That way I don't waste my freaking time clicking on these threads to read tweet by tweet analysis of every random though on a kids mind and find myself getting sucked into paranoia.

Newsie, it's not private info.  Not sure if you're familiar with Twitter.  It pops up in your twitter stream.  It isn't like you have to prying for it.  I'll read the twitter threads and will real one by Lenn Robbins and the next might be by Gathers.  It's like a stock ticker.  No privacy when one is publicizing their info.  I still think Gathers will sign without a hitch.  He's been on board for a long time now, and LSU? Really?

I think the big problem is that this generation is so used to just blaring every detail about their lives that they don't even take into consideration how what they say is being perceived.

I have no doubt that people are whispering in his ear that the conference is dying and that Lavin has/had prostate cancer. It's up to him to determine who the bullshitters are. Hopefully he's a non-chicken shit man of his word -- aka not Sampson.

not that familiar.  my daughter set me up about a year ago...but i never looked at it.  the other day she said i had 37 "followers".  i don't know what that means.  why would someone "follow" someone who doesn't twit.

Yep - LSU is not going anywhere fast....I'd be surprised if RG does anything but sign with SJ's in a few weeks.

Hopefully, it's just that....  A rumor.  I'll also say, I'm not feeling comfortable about this rumor.  I have a bad feeling he won't re-commit, if he happens to renege.

I'm also usually an optimist, purist.  I'll say, something just feels off about this situation.  I have a sneaky feeling there are legs to this rumor.  I'm not one who usually screams about dirty play, but I'm gonna suspect something fishy is going on, if Gathers decommits.  He was at Midnight Madness just a few weeks ago and then to decommit less than a month later would seem rather odd. 

I'm also in agreeance when it comes to basketball becoming more and more like football.  I've long known there wasn't an honor code (aka cardinal rule) when it came to college football coaches continuing to recruit a kid who has verbally committed elsewhere other than their respective school.  It seems that kinda practice has leaked its way into the college hoops game, as well.
