I don't think he is signed yet and I am also hearing Baylor has a lot more problems coming besides to many phone calls and text messages.

This is just the tip of the iceberg...assuming the NCAA really wants to find more.

He definitely did not sign yet.  Remember he announced during the Nov period he was not signing with SJU and was re-opening.  Then he announced a few months later for Baylor.  So April 11th would be his first opportunity to sign.

That is what I heard recently too. There could be a finding of lack of institutional control within the next 18 months.

pretty amazing too that both gathers and his brother called out lsu head coach for not recruiting him hard enough.  I guess doing things the right way doesn't count anymore.  Posters are right "where's there's smoke there's fire".  Phone calls are gonna be least of problems if NCAA finds out more and no one will be surprised if gathers is one of top players mentioned in a scandal.

Play with fire and you get burned...  I don't feel sorry for him.  The kid spurned a commit to Lavin and Co. For the dark side.  I hope Baylor gets their due.

I really find all this shady stuff really interesting.  This situation was fishy from the get go.  Calling out lsu head coach, calling out(in not so many words) Lavin not being there and his brother taking the helm of his recruiting.  So much talk of him possibly staying close to home and then a minute later his brother saying coaches needed to go through him for rg services.  Kids gonna land somewhere good and possibly still Baylor but I mean c'mon NCAA is gonna be all over him until they find something and they will if they really want too.  His best move is to cut ties if he has or brother has done something wrong.  This young man will never find comfort at Baylor if he is guilty. Cut ties, start over, and have a clean career.  One that can be prosperous at school that does things right.

I think you guys are going a little overboard.  Right now we're talking about phone calls and text messages.  The kid changed his mind...no reason to trash him.  Maybe his family wanted him closer to home?
