Damn, I was really hoping Paris would be in the Dunk contest.  I am not typically a fan of big guys in those contests but hopefully JB puts forth a nice show.

No Brownlee & Horne? Odd. Burrell looks like he'd be the best dunker on the team, but it was def Brownlee. He's the best dunker we've had since Postell.

Best in game dunker was either Brownlee or Horne however the best dunk contest guy might be Burrell.

Brownlee was bettter going hard and slamming it in the first half of the season. He seemed to shy away from it after, Big East play probably had something to do with it

I think dunk contests are pretty much played out at this point.   Pretty much all the same shit.

More importantly-   who will Xhoops blame when Burrell misses a few dunks?  The ball boy?  ;)

Hopefully Burrell can hold onto the ball long enough to jam it.  ;) He'd be a nice tight end if could grab the ball

Ryan Williams was a sick dunker.  Look on youtube for some of his videos.  He had a couple nice dunks at St. John's but he won a couple big dunk contests after he left

When Burrell was at Bridgton I saw him execute a windmill slam that left the gym in stunned silence. It was delivered on a fast break and remains the most impressive dunk I've ever seen.

p.s. Dwight Meikle is our only recruit participating in the High School Dunk Contest at Houston on CBS a week from today.

Ryan Williams threw down one of the greatest dunks I've ever seen live....unfortunately it was after the whistle.

He did a ridiculous windmill dunk at Gampel back in 2006 that had the Pukon fans even gasping.

The guy had serious hops, probably why his And1 name was Special FX

Ryan and Showtime were at Cardozo when my daughter went there (damn I'm old!).  She used to tell me about the sick stuff they did in H.S.  Ryan is an incredible leaper.  It's a shame that he never really displayed those skills at St. john's.

No he wouldn't.  He played football for a week in high school and said he quit because he was scared for his life.  DJ would be a far better TE IMO.  Football takes a toughness that few basketball players possess...it's not a contact game, it's a collision game.

Evans would be a bad ass defensive end.  Julius Peppers like!   He's already got the 4 step spin move down.

Burrell is amuch better dunker than brownlee.  Not close.  Diff is as a big man burrell did not have many or any fast break wide open dunk opps like brownlee.

I dont know how you can say its not close. I cant think of one time where Burrell actually dunked hard on someone. Yes he had some good dunks like that one at Georgetown where he cuffed it bud I always thought he was a disappointment as a dunker. Brownlee could do the same dunks that burrell did, like the one against duke where Hardy threw a great one handed pass and brownlee proceeded to throw a big time one-hander down. Plus brownlee was able to dunk on people, that one in the second half against marquette where he literally thew it through the guys face sparked our rally to win that game. Id say that Brownlee was the better in game dunker but im excited to see what burrell can do in the contest.

Do you not watch them in warm ups?  Dunk contest is not in game, so that is totally irrelevant to this discussion

Burrell doesn't do anything as well as Brownlee. Especially dunk. Burrell has more blown dunks, than dunks. I don't know if he'll escape the first round as I'm not sure he can dunk on consecutive attempts.

Your point about burrell not getting any fast break dunks was irrelevent according to my argument. Brownlees best dunks were not on fast breaks.
