that it's not that rare to see HS'ers that much older than their peers.

Spellman Eyes The Storm

Keith Spellman, the second highest scorer in the PSAL behind Abraham Lincoln's Lance Stephenson is looking to stay in New York.

Pollard says, the star shooting guard has narrowed his choices down to two schools and should be making a decision by the end of the summer.

"Keith likes St. John's and Hofstra," says Pollard. "He like the idea of playing at the Garden and thinks (Coach) Norm Roberts is a great guy."

If the St. John's Red Storm were to get Keith Spellman they would get a pure scorer.

"Last season Keith had to do all the scoring but next season he will have other talented players around him so that he can work on other aspects of his game," says Pollard.

i know a lot of people are split on him, but im a big fan of spellman.  hes a pure scorer and is a natural 2 guard.  i think i like him more than kilpatrick overall.  he does need to get a bit stronger, though.

I like his game & i am from his hood so I wish him the best & with that said this team would not be a good fit for him, nor do we need another undersize 2 guard

If He wants to play in the Big East  Marquette would be a great choice for Playing time

Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

Undersize 2's can flourish in college ball.

Anderson Hunt
Khalid Reeves
Tony Delk
Stephen Curry
etc.

Not sayin KS is anyone of 'em. Could develop? Most certainly. Just sayin height aint all that at the 2 in college.

agreed size at the 2 is not needed in college...

I thought this kid was supposed to be pretty good.  Shouldn't we be excited about this?

I have said it for a long time. .  I think he is an over rated gunner...   there are plenty of kids who would put up his numbers if they had the green light at all times...

ESPN has him @ 6'3" per above link.

He is not undersized for a 2.
Can he handle the point in the BE ?

what was his 3pt% last year ?

i was the one who thought he was going to try to go to a higher level school. but his talent didnt pan out. my thing is this. it can go to ways if omari lance or kevin doesnt go to st. johns then you go after james padgett then keith. the thing about ketih is he hasnt gotten better. im gonna find out more about his work attitude. he does have the ability to be special though
