Would like to see SJU get involved with McGary.

A wanna be scout/rivals.  Looks like they are oriented towards football...and now appear to be aligning with Prepstars to cover basketball as well.

I believe they have merged with Prepstars.  I still believe the rankings are of Brick Oettinger and to some degree, Rob Harrington.

Would like to see SJU get involved with McGary.

At the expense of who?  We don't exactly have a bevy of scholarships to give out.

IMO McGary will be at KU when all is said and done. 

McGary is awesome. Saw him play a few weeks ago and I was extremely impressed.

Oh we signed someone?

I may be wrong but I believe we were listed with him a while back but he took us off. It was before he really started climbing up the rankings.

I don't ever recall McGary mentioning St. John's as a possible destination.

We haven't signed anyone because you can't sign anyone till November.

We have never been listed with McGary.  It was assumed as he is Jakarr's roommate and he tweeted once that he was going to watch us play Duke that we had a chance of getting involved.  Its pretty clear we have 3 2012 targets in Kyle, Ricardo and Jevon.  Throw in a player like Harrow who won't be eligible till 2012 and throw in the fact that we don't right now have enough schollies for all of them and thats the point I made.

I've seen McGarry a few times.  Kid is real good no question.  Would love to have him on my team.  But unless something comes out of left field where we start getting mentioned with him and our scholarship situation shakes out I don't see it happening.

You never answered my question then.  How do you plan to fit McGary into your plans?  While Lavin operates out of left field as you mention, he also has been known to 'only use bullets on what he thinks its obtainable'.  And with McGary you have everyone and their mother after him.  He's already established himself on a much shorter list for Kyle and Gathers.  McGary has some academic issues which is why he's up at Brewster and why his recruitment has been pretty much quiet and under the radar.
