The latest name that I’ve heard at Boston University is Long Island University head coach Jim Ferry. Ferry has New England ties – he played at Keene State, was an assistant at Bentley, and was the head coach at Plymouth State. He was offered the Manhattan job earlier this spring, but turned it down.

I heard a rumor that Ferry employed the oft used "dream job" phrase to describe the LIU job -

Boston College associate head coach Joe Jones will become the next head coach at Boston University. Jones spent one season at BC - he was the head coach at Columbia before that (7 seasons - 86-108). He was also an assistant to Jay Wright at Villanova and Hofstra (former BU head coach Pat Chambers was also a Wright assistant at 'Nova).
