Kyle Anderson to Seton Hall.

The moderators on the SHU site have the odds assuming Howland gets fired:

1) He transfers to SHU 95.3 %
2) Stays at UCLA 2.7%
3) Goes pro 2.0%

Maybe Kyle could just go work for Adidas if Howland gets fired.

#1 is career suicide... He should go with #2 or #3...

Seriously though, with the weak draft I can see him possibly declaring, especially if Howland goes.  He and his father think/know he's a pro.  kid certainly has skills, and would get drafted somewhere, but I don't see those two being convinced otherwise of something if they get it in their head.

Is it heresy to suggest That Chiles attend Jordan's game on Tues. at 6? I have seen it done in regular season, but not tourneys. Is it worth it or meaningless?

Marcus,

You understand I was joking right???  LOL!!!

BTW-SHU fans cry everyday over Kyle choosing UCLA.  But how would you feel to be DePaul?  Shane Larkin was ENROLLED at DePaul.  Look how good he is at Miami.

Kid is a Wooden finalist and to me if there was choice between him and Kyle I would take Shane without blinking.  Of course Shane is a year older.  He has said he is coming back to Miami.

UCLA fans make ours look sane...not an easy task.

Does the Adams injury give Howland a reprieve if they do lose though?

Howland's bigger problem maybe stylistic more then anything.

The fan base and the money people are simply not thrilled with his Pitt style/Big East style defense first, halfcourt offense type of philosophy.  His struggles recently provide a convenient excuse/cover to fire a guy who they never really embraced even when he was making Final Four's.

I know fans have thrown Billy Donovan's name out there, but I really can't see him being interested, and I think Mark Few isn't a big-city guy. What other coaches are sexy enough for the fan base there? I personally think Lon Kuger's style would be embraced there after some initial fan whining, but last I checked I'm not on any potential search committees.

Again assuming Howland is let go:

My guess is Few is their first call and should be.

The next call and this is just a guess would be someone like Shaka Smart or Brad Stevens.  Now they have been offered good jobs, better jobs for more money and have turned them down in the past.  But UCLA is a top 5 type of job.  It is the type of job that coaches who work at VCU and Butler just don't normally turn down.

Kruger is too old at this point and he is got Larry Brown syndrome.  Great coach though.

don't know if this had been mentioned or not.

"Meantime, the 6-4 Jordan out of Philly Vaux Roberts announced his decision date on Twitter.

“Ima make the biggest choice in my life on 4/15/13 #thedayicommittocollege.”

Jordan is down to St. John’s, Temple and UCLA. St. John’s coach Steve Lavin watched Jordan play last Friday.

The NCAA late signing period runs April 17-May 15."

Of course, UCLA  did lead the Pac 12 in scoring this year.    :)

How about Steve Alford. Hes done amazing things in New Mexico and moving from Mountain West to Pac 12 wouldnt be a big jump at all because the MWC has been the far superior conference the last couple years

I know people say Mark Few or Brad Stevens don't seem like guys who want the UCLA job, but I'm sure they would have to consider it.
No matter how successful they are at Gonzaga and Butler, they will never be paid the  $3 million+ that guys like Calipari, Izzo, Self, Pitino make.

And $1.5 compared to 3 or 3.5, is not splitting hairs.   That's real money.
