Vaux's Rysheed Jordan named MVP of Public League A

A day after scoring a game-high 45 points in the Public League boys' basketball championship, Vaux senior guard Rysheed Jordan was named the MVP of Public League Division A on Monday morning.
He also was named to the division's first team for the third-straight season.
Jordan grabbed six rebounds and recorded four steals as Vaux fell on Sunday afternoon to Imhotep, 67-66, in the league final at Temple. Sometime after the season Jordan will commit to UCLA, Temple or St. John's.
Up next for Vaux is the PIAA Class A Playoffs, which start March 8.
